  • "There's plenty of parking, WC and a cafe."
  • "It has outdoor gym, children's activities, toilets and changing facilities in parts."

Cons:

  • "Booked the firework event and roads all blocked off. Couldn't park anywhere and ridiculous line of queues."
  • "The only negative is that the rope bridge to enter a slide has not been repaired, it has been like this for over a year."
  • "No park lights so wouldn't recommend during dark periods."
  • "One issue was there was no soap in the ladies bathroom."
  • "My only issue is with the parking area over by Lover's Lane it unessarly overly complicated, the price is cheap but to have to download an app or phone them just to park is a bit much."
  • "A clean and open park with a friendly family atmosphere. There is paid parking readily available but would be much better if council made it free."
  • "Parking is not free but is reasonable."
  • "You have to pay to park here but its not expensive."

Children's Play Areas and Activities

Pros:

  • "Loved the light up playground for the kids. My little one had a fab time and the helpers were just brill."
  • "This park is my local and never fails to occupy the kids (3 year old and 17 month old)."
  • "Kids absolutely love this park plenty of rides for them to enjoy my kids ages range from 3-14 so caters for all."
  • "A lot of fun for the kids. Lots to see and do."
  • "Beautiful scenery large area perfect for a pleasant walk or to visit with children as has a lovely clean play area and at weekends a fare."
  • "Lovely for walks or to visit the ducks and Gease. There are 2 parks in this side of the carpark."
  • "Really great park, part of Sandwell Valley Country Park. Loads to do with children."
  • "Great Park with two duck ponds and two play areas and a splash pool in the summer there is also a farm with farm yard animals but you do need to pay to get in."

Cons:

  • "Was a lovely park last year! Disappointed they removed the water park and rope swing as that's the main reason I go there on summer days with the kids."
  • "A couple of the play areas have been closed off either due to misuse or damage."
  • "Was a little bit disappointed with the parade as I expected it to be lot larger more people attending."
  • "Playground and surroundings brilliant. But no toilet near the play area."
  • "We go feed the lovely birds there are also green parakeets you need to keep your eyes open for dog mess as some owners are just downright ignorant about the horrific disease that children could get."
  • "Went to the kids play area..they have a massive problem with wasps people were just leaving they couldn't stand it anymore people were literally just leaving there picnics and going."

Park Maintenance and Cleanliness

Pros:

  • "Sandwell Flagship Park. This is probably the nicest of the Sandwell parks, it has large open spaces to walk in as well as large communal play areas."
  • "A brilliant park with lots to do and plenty of space to do it in, you have a lot of grassy area to sit and chill."
  • "This is one of our regular favourite place to enjoy quality time with our kids as the entry is FREE and quite big to do so much fun activities."
  • "Well kept, and idyllic in the middle of the hubbub of the urban sprawl."
  • "Go here regularly. Lovely park nice and peaceful in certain areas."
  • "Lovely clean park, lots of apparatus, lots of greenery and trees."
  • "It's absolutely beautiful, I went there frequently in the summer as the flowers are everywhere and it's a great place to take photos or go on long walks."
  • "The surroundings are always clean, tidy & litter free. The park itself has got really good over the last few years, lots of different things for the kids to play on."

Cons:

  • "Could be cleaner, especially round the playground. Burnt out fires, broken beer bottles and just general rubbish everywhere."
  • "Not a bad park itself, but the rubbish that people throw there is absolutely disgusting. It's not one or two wrappers that you might expect at a normal park, it's more like a tip."
  • "Really nice park, lots of play area's, a little fair, a small farm, several food and drink vans, a skate park, a keep fit area, a lake, small train ride, and more. I would've given a higher score if the 1 play area and fields weren't absolutely covered in rubbish."
  • "Visited on 31st August - we've had a nice summer, weather was nice again on this day, the fair was on the park, kids still off school. So I was a bit disappointed to see the water wasn't on for the splash-pad play, things were missing from the park leaving just an ugly frame."
