  • "The best italian food I have ever eaten"
  • "The food was cooked to perfection."

Cons:

  • "However, our pasta was thick and gummy, cream sauce goopy and lacking flavor, and seafood ravioli filling was dry, did not taste fresh, and even had a bone in it."
  • "The tomatoes were soo soooo cold."
  • "With starters coming out first, with a lovely touch of flavours; we were looking forward to our mains. This is when it all went down hill..... main courses weren't up to scratch, lack of taste and any distinctive flavours."
  • "Bruscetta with tomatos was really bad."
  • "The turkey dinner was okay nothing special."
  • "The food was good few things were very cold on arrival sadly."
  • "The lasagna was good, too, but the sauce perhaps a bit burnt, giving the lasagna a smokie taste."

  • "The waiters spoke to each other in Italian saying they didn’t want to sing happy birthday as they were tired and couldn’t be bothered."
  • "The staff working was very short with me and stated ‘you have to download the app to order take out.’"
  • "Starting the clean up whilst we were still eating was ridiculous."
  • "We were left waiting for an age to order and for our food."
  • "Never received new desserts had our drinks and mouldy desserts removed from the bill was rather fed up waiting and we left promptly."
  • "Not only did no one actually greet us or even talk to use for 20 minutes."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "What a little, hidden gem of a place."

  • "It's a lovely atmosphere, nicely decorated and cosy."

Cons:

  • "Terrible service and an ambiance more fit for a open mic comedy show than a romantic date."
  • "Felt more like a cattle market than a relaxing dinner."
  • "They cram about 60 into such a confined space so you are forced to listen to everyone else's conversations."
  • "Experience of eating in a dungeon without any windows 👀 no thanks!"
  • "The only snag was that it felt a bit cramped because we were sat next to a busy walkway with people walking by all the time."
  • "A very busy restaurant, too many tables close together."
  • "The restaurant is in the cellar with a long narrow flight of steps down. Very inaccessible."

Value

Pros:

  • "Might be a bit pricey for some."
  • "Reasonable prices for the food and drinks we had."
  • "It was excellent value and I will most certainly return."

  • "Not cheap, but I think very reasonably priced for the high standard of the meal and service."

Cons:

  • "£120 for 4 of us with no wine."
  • "The website stated that for parties of 6 or more that there would be a 10% service charge, but just my partner and I somehow got a 11+% charge added unannounced."
  • "They add 15% service charge to the bill, understandable for large groups but we were a couple and it would’ve been nice if this was discretionary rather than automatically added to the bill."
  • "Totally overpriced."
  • "Meal for two at a price tag of over £70, unfortunately we left hungry."
  • "The only thing I didn’t liked was the price of a glass of wine. Six glasses for almost £50 is too much."
  • "Was disappointed when we seen the bill and was charged £8 for something we didn't actually order."
