Value for Money

Pros:

  • "It's also incredible value for money - inexpensive but you get 5* treatment."
  • "Prices are in line with other practices but realistically a bargain when you consider their specialist expertise and extensive treatment facilities."
  • "We find the price is reasonable for the service you get and they have a fantastic cattery on site."
  • "I found their price exceptionally good for what we received."
  • "Costs are very good!"
  • "It's not expensive and was always happy with how they cared for my animals."
  • "Took my cat I rescued for neutering and microchipping they were really helpful and because he was a rescue cat protection charity covered most of the cost for neutering."

Cons:

  • "The lacking of consistency on pricing (a repeat prescription was a different price every time)."
  • "Not happy for paying the full price as this is the time when these vets needs to help the pet owners."
  • "Charges 3 times the price of medication online and then charges through the roof to email a prescription to obtain cheaper medication to trap you either way."
  • "Neutering my dog they changed the price on the day to £176 as apparently the initial price quoted was just for surgery fees and vets time."
  • "The difference in price when being quoted for an operation (was told £550 at first - then £1400 minimum on booking the surgery a week later)."
  • "Vet was lovely but bit disappointed that they charged me full consultation fee for examining a wild bird."
  • "I will not be visiting them again as they made me wait extra for picking up my cat and I had to pay extra for my Uber for pet."

Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "The staff are very pleasant, they go out of their way to provide good care and treatment for your pets."
  • "We were recommended this vet when we adopted from the RSPCA, around 2-3 years ago, before that we thought we were with the best exotic vet around, but we were wrong."
  • "The reception staff, although always busy, are polite and helpful."
  • "The veterinary staff are wonderful and know what they're doing."
  • "Every time I've been, reception and vets have been great. Kind, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful."
  • "The nursing staff are always helpful, friendly and caring."
  • "The employees were fully trained to handle the case in the most professional way."

Cons:

  • "We have to chased them up every time we spoke to them(not even mentioned that during the opening hours phone went straight to voice mail) impossible to get in touch with them)."
  • "The examination was rushed and the vet looked annoyed when I asked her for some advise."
  • "Cant stress enough that this place needs to be avoided at all costs."
  • "Don’t want to put a bad review but I want to warn others when thinking of coming here and consider going to a different vet but we was treated very poorly being sent away every time and told to just book another appointment."
  • "Rang 5 times between Monday and Tuesday and was unable to reach vet despite being given timings of better availability."
  • "They never answer the phone, they over charge and offer no support."
  • "The unprofessionalism of both receptionists and vets (The phone is NEVER answered, they tell you to keep calling back if it's an emergency but they still don't answer."

Facilities and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Social distancing being implemented well with spaced out seating available inside."
  • "The system they have set up for Covid-19 is also amazing."
  • "They also now have a 24 hour emergency service, which is brilliant."

  • "The Exotics team treating my tortoise were fantastic; highly knowledgeable and compassionate."
  • "Car parking is tight but not impossible."

Cons:

  • "It would be enough even for a horse to bare what she went through. They not let us see her because of *covid*.. Just using covid as excuse, not enough compassion and care for animal such as birds."
  • "Cramped building, incredibly busy and probably way over subscribed."
  • "Additionally, seems to be quite run down on the interior with some holes in the roofing and mould."
  • "The car park adds to the stress of the experience."
  • "All in all this practice has no feeling of care, it is too busy, the car park adds to the stress of the experience, as does the miserable older receptionist who makes you feel in trouble and the slamming door while you wait."
  • "Very hard to get through on phone and impossible to speak to vet on phone without paying phone consultation."
  • "Unable to get through on the phone with a system which seems to have been set up to send customers anywhere but able to speak to a person."
