Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The chicken, the slaw and the fresh sourdough were definitely the highlight for us."
  • "Africa rice nice and good texture."
  • "The food was really nice though portion sizes of the 'sharing' sides compared to the price was disappointing."
  • "The chicken is not as flavourful as expected as they specialised in chicken and claimed to be the best chicken in town."
  • "Omg the peri peri chicken was so juicy and delicious! I can see why so many rave about it."
  • "The menu is simple the Portuguese Piri piri chicken for main and then you choose your sides or starters."
  • "Loved their Bacalhau and pastel de nata!"
  • "The food is fabulous, the atmosphere great, the wine is something we will not forget, the desserts amazing."

Cons:

  • "Cauliflower the most expensive dish. Bit of disappointment, soft and soggy, may be was precooked and cover with too much steam, so lost the crunchiness."
  • "Food was ok, sharing starters was fine but the chicken was not great, we tried all the seasoning flavours but all were pretty bland and not much meat on any of them."
  • "The chicken was dry probably because it was part cooked like Nandos (saw the pile of half cooked chicken in the kitchen), the rice was soggy and everything was served on cold plates."
  • "Portions on some of the other sides could be a bit bigger for the price."
  • "The bacalhau frites were a bit bland too. It's supposed to be a Portuguese restaurant but the food/ dessert are more like a British fusion pub food."
  • "Food is less than average .. croquetas were not nice .. dry and cold as the rest of the food .. really dry chicken .. chips were greasy .."

Service

Pros:

  • "Hats off to the staff as well. All of them were just accommodating and attentive."
  • "The waiter was very kind and attentive."
  • "Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were very reasonable for the area."
  • "The staff were warm and welcoming."
  • "Staff very friendly and attentive."
  • "Food and service were first class and I highly recommend you visit."
  • "Recommended 5️⃣⭐Excellent! No words can explain, great service from the all team working at time, food was delicious and very tasty. Very fast service."

Cons:

  • "Service was poor, our waitress took the order and we asked if we should order the chicken at the same time as our starters even though we wanted it to come after, she said yes but they brought the chicken first before then the starters!"
  • "Service is pretty average, waiters are pretty inexperienced and not very present."
  • "Food and vibe is lovely, but extremely slow service."
  • "Service was very slow during our visit. Took almost two hours from ordering to receive main courses."
  • "Worst service, waited 10 mins for table, 25 mins to take order. Food come around 10-12 mins for starter (chips & bread). Main (peri peri chicken) takes 28 mins from order time to come out."
  • "However, the service was below expectation - we waited a long time at our table before anyone came over and took our order and on several occasions they took our water and beer glasses away before we could finish our drinks, even after specifically saying we weren't finished."

Ambiance and Location

Pros:

  • "Lovely little restaurant off Regent Street. They have a lot of seating outside, even had live music on Saturday weren't we visited."
  • "Very nice restaurant tucked away in a small pedestrian side street next to the busy Regent Street. It had ample indoor and outdoor seatings."
  • "The venue clean and fresh with some lovely touches thrown in nice to see the planting scattered around."
  • "Location super great."
  • "Conclusion location: great location for seat down and eat. Location is a 5."
  • "Lovely little restaurant off of Regent Street with reasonable London (center) prices and friendly staff."
  • "It’s such a beautiful restaurant in a great central location."
  • "It was a little hard to find the place because it was tucked away in a tiny side street just off Regent Street in central London. But once you find it you are well greeted and served very well."

Cons:

  • "Disappointing, and after several recent visits to Lisbon this felt nothing like a Portuguese restaurant."
  • "Pretty underwhelming visit to be honest. Had booked a table for 5 on opening but stood in the entrance for at least 5 minutes while the staff stood around in a group chatting."
  • "The food is for sharing, small plates; the ambient is very noisy and you barely can hear your friends, the service is not so good they forgot your request, and they do not remember who order who."
  • "We had hoped to have a quick pre-Christmas meal but a group of 5 of us were in there over 3 hours which is just crazy. We must have waited 45 minutes for our mains, starters and the bill were not quick to come either."
