Park Facilities

Pros:

  • "Nice place to cycle to with the kids, there is a playground, large pond with many ducks, swans and geese."

Cons:

  • "Getting too and from the carpark can be a problem if its peak time before and after a football session as there are seemingly hundreds of parents picking up or dropping off kids."
  • "The grass isn’t cut properly, someone’s quite literally cutting corners when doing the grass, overgrown areas of shrubs."
  • "The path from there to the lake and the Waterside centre is really poor for wheelchairs and buggies and badly maintained, as is the path around the lake."
  • "The real let down is that the play area is a bit sparse, it seems like an afterthought and not a great one."
  • "Good place for a nice walk but the kids play area needs huge improvement. The Adizone needs replacing, most of the equipment is rusty and squeaks a lot!"

  • "The water seems quite dirty and looks like it has been in need of a good clean for a long time."
  • "Alot of duck and other animals poo around as beautiful as the wildlife are there should definitely be some sort of wash down procedure for footpath around lake as well as litter our wheelchair and shoes were covered by the time we had walked around once."
  • "We were sad at some parts of the lake which people had thrown rubbish there."
