Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food was excellent!"
  • "The food was fantastic. My friend said her favorite was the croquettes and the peppers which were so flavorful and perfectly cooked."
  • "The food overall was good and the aubergine was very refreshing."
  • "The food is really great. It’s got fantastic selection of cocktails and wine. Steak is a stand out dish!"
  • "All the food tasted amazing. They have a very diverse selection of tapas."
  • "The food was delicious, everything was very tasty and the pork was to die for."
  • "The tapas are very good but this place can get very busy and there might be a wait."
  • "The food and drinks are absolutely perfect. They fill you up even though they're tapas."

Cons:

  • "The only reason why I’m giving Lobos 4 stars is because of the rowdy patrons we were sat next to."
  • "The only thing we wish was that the food came out a bit hotter and while it was good, we felt nothing was exceptional."
  • "The pepper and cheesecake are pretty good! The octopus is tasty but a little old."
  • "I had heard promising things about this place, but the portions are too small for the price paid."
  • "The food was okay, not traditional Spanish but more adapted to the British taste, I suppose."
  • "Food was tepid on arrival, portions were tiny even for tapas. Overly salty, overly priced, even for London."
  • "Unfortunately wasn’t a great experience. The waitress forgot our order and we waited 20 mins before she came around to ask us again what we’d like to eat."
  • "The food was just fine. Not the best tapas but not the worst either. The tapas was quite expensive for the quantity received."

Service

Pros:

  • "Service was prompt and friendly."
  • "The service was attentive and friendly while having good knowledge of the menu and the customer."
  • "There was plenty of waiting staff on hand for what ever we needed."
  • "Service: Very prompt and quick. We ordered drinks and they came out within five minutes of ordering."
  • "Service was a little slow and we had to keep prompting for drinks and dishes. But is a minor point. Everyone was super friendly."
  • "Staff were amazing and gave us a slice of cheesecake on the house for my friend’s birthday."
  • "Special thanks to our server who asked the kitchen for an extra piece of octopus leg after we told her the next table knocked ours to the floor as she was seating herself."
  • "The staff is wonderful. They are so fun and enthusiastic."

Cons:

  • "The only reason I couldn’t give Lobos 5 stars as FH made a few mistakes when taking orders and serving also noticed an extra wine charge on our bill after leaving."
  • "They charge you service charge even if you order directly from the bar. Happy to pay a waitress but the bartender can pull the lever without charging service charge while we’re waiting for a table."
  • "Given the enthusiastic reviews, I expected much more. It started well enough, really good organisation locating a table at a peak time, first 3 tapas dishes were decent, but it went downhill when the meat dishes arrived."
  • "A very poor experience here. Especially the service. Very rude."

Ambiance

Pros:

  • "Great buzzy atmosphere excellent for gathering with friends or just an easy night out. Music was retro and catchy."
  • "Atmosphere: 3.5/5 Lively. The music was a bit loud for my tastes but maybe because we were sat near the speakers but it wasn't really an experience deterring thing."
  • "Conveniently located in central London, this tapas and steak places fors both things very well."
  • "Lovely restaurant for tapas and drinks in Soho."

Cons:

  • "The tapas portions were quite small and pricey. We also ordered a meats platter that was supposed to be enough for 2 and we all thought that even for 1 person that would be a small portion."
  • "It's a well located and good design restaurant. Food is OKish however overall a bit expensive. Not sure how authentic it is either as none of the dishes were similar to other Spanish restaurants."
  • "Busy, tables so close together I thought I had new friends. Rib eye steak was a highlight, but having just returned from Northern Spain, everything else we ordered was pretty average."
  • "The atmosphere was nice and the service as well. With respect to the food, the padron peppers were tiny, tiny and very oily."
