Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The paella however was to die for! It was so good I couldn’t get enough of it."
  • "The calamari is very good, as is the honey goats cheese with homemade crisps."
  • "The food was incredible and we had THE BEST veggie paella EVER!"
  • "The Gambas Al Ajillo was fantastic lots of garlic and salt."
  • "The food was outstanding, especially the chicken and seafood Paella."
  • "All perfectly cooked and very authentic."
  • "The sharing of the tapas, the different flavours from each dish, the lovely wine bottles and authentic food were just right."

Cons:

  • "If you are Spanish don't bother going there... Patatas bravas were just fried potatoes with a bit of a spicy sauce."
  • "When the rest of the food arrived it was all disappointing, the chicken strips dish came out and wasn't strips, it was two full chicken breasts in breadcrumbs and they were totally dry and tasteless."
  • "Food was low quality, wafer thin chicken breasts, pototas bravas with a pathetic sauce just thrown on top."
  • "Potatoes bravis and calamari both not freshly cooked and cold."
  • "The paella was underwhelming and salad served with some dishes less than impressive."
  • "Food was simply inedible. Paella out of the microwave, patatas bravas were pre-cooked or frozen."
  • "The worse tapas I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely disgusting."

Service

Pros:

  • "Servers were really nice too."
  • "We liked the casual atmosphere and the staffs are most attentive."
  • "Special recognition to Natalia who took care of us during the whole time!"
  • "The welcome is warm and the staff will give personal recommendations - for food and cocktails."

  • "Staff are also very friendly and the manager made sure we were taken care of :)"
  • "The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, efficient and professional but in a very relaxed and genuine way."

Cons:

  • "Confused workers didn't know where to seat us amongst loads of empty tables."
  • "Poor and slow service."
  • "Service zero to none."
  • "Awful service awful dirty tables won’t be returning. Cigarette butts on the door step inside not outside."
  • "Service wasn’t impressive either, not even a small conversation."
  • "They were very rude and didn't make us feel welcomed."
  • "The service throughout was poor, the waitresses clearly were not listening when I ordered drinks as it arrived wrong."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "The atmosphere is truly authentic, after living in Spain for 15 years it’s hard to recreate the feel of a Spanish restaurant but these guys nailed."
  • "Sweet little tapas and paella cafe-restaurant with plenty of outside and inside tables and a no-nonsense informal style, friendly service and reasonable prices."
  • "The atmosphere was just wonderful for a romantic dinner (candles, Spanish music, dim light)."
  • "Lovely spot. Had a bday dinner there for a friend. Buzzing vibe as there is music playing so not for a sit down, quite convo."
  • "The food is tasty with strong flavours and the place has a very authentic feel with Flamenco music in the background."
  • "Nice outside area too, just off the main road but not too noisy."
  • "It's a great place to spend a delightful evening."

Cons:

  • "The cleanliness of the place is terrible, the bathrooms too dirty, the restaurant windows dirty with hand marks, the floor too dirty."
  • "But the most disgusting were the toilets. I nearly threw up. Absolutely disgusting!"
  • "Toilets need a clean."
  • "The atmosphere poor (playing the same old-fashioned flamenco-pop singer non-stop)."
  • "The atmosphere was dark and dull."
  • "In terms of ambiance, the decoration could use an update as everything seemed a bit worn out and falling apart."
  • "However, basic cleanliness was very average, especially in toilets."

Value

Pros:

  • "Value for tapas here is very good - particularly for Central London."
  • "It has good sized, robust dishes for decent prices, and a friendly atmosphere."
  • "Been to this restaurant several times for a pre theatre meal using Groupon vouchers and it's amazing value."
  • "The price was decent, I think it came to about £45 without the tastecard, for two, which isn't too bad, particularly for the area."
  • "Good value for money on the paellas."
  • "Staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable."
  • "We ate until we were full and shared a bottle of wine and it worked out to £25/head."

Cons:

  • "Seriously not worth £130 for the meal."
  • "Prices were high for the amount of food."
  • "The octopus was chewy and tasteless (it comes up at £13.95 per serving)."
  • "It was ok for the value of £44- the full price would come to over £90 and if was not worth that price at all."
  • "Prices were standard for a Central London location."
  • "And £16 for a jar of sangria is really way too much."
  • "We paid nearly 40 pounds each for overpriced tapas (we expected them to be a lot bigger given the price)."
