Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The jamon platter was filling with lots of jamon and cheese! Yummy."
  • "We liked the bacalao quite a lot."
  • "Had the paella and enjoyed it immensely. Calamari was exceptional as well."
  • "Most of the items on the menu are authentic Iberian meals."
  • "Scallops particularly recommended - light, tender, satisfying despite being breaded and deep fried."
  • "The food is really tasty, the waiters are diligent and kind."
  • "Food was traditional Spanish rather than the anglo version offered in many so called tapas places."

Cons:

  • "Everything was pretty disgusting and the service wasn't much better."
  • "The patatas bravas was dry, with no flavour."
  • "Had issues with the food (really fatty meat), when issue was raised, it was ignored."
  • "The patatas bravas were basically sub-par chip shop chips."
  • "Everything tasted so cheap that we decided to cancel the rest of the order…"
  • "The croquettes, chirazo, mushrooms were meh."
  • "The Paella was watery and oily. Frozen seafood was used at a price that you could get a small amount of fresh seafood."

Service

Pros:

  • "Service was attentive and friendly and food arrived quickly."
  • "The two waiters are so polite, friendly and very hospitable."
  • "Staff were friendly and polite."
  • "Lovely service from the lady who was serving us."
  • "Very friendly service and cosy environment!"
  • "The staff are welcoming and friendly. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I'll definitely come back again."
  • "Our server was friendly, attentive and again, sorted us out with some free shots."

Cons:

  • "They treat delivery people like garbage, the attendant simply tells us to wait outside in the greatest lack of education."
  • "From the moment we walked in we felt unwelcome by the unfriendly staff."
  • "Service started out good but because our food issues were not dealt with, I have rated low."
  • "The staff, of two, can get a bit busy making it difficult to get their attention."
  • "Food was OK only and not worth the wait - it is a long service. A bit more enthusiasm to assist the customer wouldn't hurt either - no smiles and no - one asked us if we wanted a desert or drinks after the meal."
  • "When they became busy it was impossible to get the attention of a waiter for the bill."
  • "Service was a bit slow."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "Nice open air feeling to the rear of the restaurant as there is a large sliding skylight."
  • "The interior exudes a rustic charm, adorned with traditional elements that transport diners to the streets of Spain."
  • "Nice atmosphere with plants and a greenhouse feel."
  • "Loved the place. A bit loud maybe as there were a lot of people on quite a small space."
  • "The restaurant had a very authentic Spanish feel with the decorative plates & Spanish music."
  • "It has a welcoming environment, great service."
  • "Very cosy little spanish resturant in a side of camden where not many tourists go."

Cons:

  • "Basically my visit was fine but underwhelming."
  • "This place used to be very good but now it’s just average... the prices are okay but maybe not worthy of a date night."
  • "Only the atmosphere needs a small acoustic improvement, the music stoped and all we could here was people talking in other tables."
  • "The whole feel to the place was just wonderful. The Christmas decorations were subtle and there was some music on maybe Michael Buble singing a variety of songs, Unforgettable being one and it was the highlight of my night!"
  • "Only thing not very memorable is the atmosphere: basic decorations, lighting could also improve."
  • "It’s not a great atmosphere tbh. Bit like a canteen."
  • "The atmosphere was also quite nice with chill Spanish music on in the background."

Value

Pros:

  • "The prices are reasonable too, at least for a nicer area of London."
  • "The prices are very reasonable."
  • "Prices were acceptable for the taste of the food (£36/person)."
  • "This little hidden gem was an absolute diamond find."
  • "Total damage was £63 for 2 (hungry) people though - so a good chunk cheaper than e.g. Barrafina tapas."
  • "Very reasonably priced too, my 2 bits of food, bread, olives and a double Jack and coke came in at just over 20 quid!"
  • "Prices are fair, compared to other London establishments and not too extreme at the time of our visit."

Cons:

  • "Absurd price for the quantity and quality."
  • "The food is good quality, perhaps slightly expensive for the portion sizes but still very good food."
  • "It was not as tasty as the price would suggest."
  • "Lovely atmosphere and a great Paella, but the waiting time was 30 mins and the restaurant only had two other tables busy so I cannot imagine how long you would wait on a busy night, and its slightly overpriced."
  • "The prices are completely unjustifiable and a total rip off."
  • "Almost £20 for sangria that tasted like diet lemonade with a tiny splash of wine."
  • "£12 for 2 small plates is not a fulfilling lunch so just be aware that’s the case with lunch menu."
