Ube Flavored Ice Cream

Pros:

  • "The ube ice cream is a nice flavour and the service was fast."
  • "Their ube is legit and delicious! I ordered the bilog, which is any of their ice cream flavor crammed into their version of pandesal."
  • "Definitely worth a try, not many (if any) places that do ube flavoured ice cream."
  • "The ube ice cream along with the bilog that’s filled with the ube ice cream. Definitely rate high for their customer service."
  • "Filipino style ice cream. Love the novelty! Their flavours are unique."
  • "I've been coming here for nearly two years now and the ice cream is always great and they are always introducing new flavors."
  • "The irresistibly cute purple ube hot chocolate is super delicious and unique."
  • "If you want real good ice cream come here and get the purple one ask for 2 portions because its that good."

Cons:

  • "However, very expensive (£7.50) for what it is and the waitress was rude."
  • "The ice cream itself was a 8.5/10 the ube was great but I have to say it just tastes like vanilla."
  • "If only it was closer to me."
  • "Didn't know that yam ice cream is a thing in Filipino. In Malaysia we got Yam ice cream everywhere."
  • "The Ube Bilog was fresh, but the ice cream itself was not very dominant and it taste was overwhelmed by the surrounding pastry."
  • "The halo halo is a great treat on summer for those nice tropical fruit and coconut flavours! Friendly service and good location on nice quiet road."
  • "Came all the way from Europe to come and try the famous mamason pandesal ice cream. What a flop it was and so disappointing."
  • "It ok. I would not go out of my way to come here but if I was near I would try some of the other flavours."

Service and Staff

Pros:

  • "Definitely rate high for their customer service as they’ve responded in a timely manner with care for their customers."
  • "The staff are welcoming. I’ll defo come back and try more items."
  • "Very friendly service and delicious treats."
  • "Awesome customer service, and yummy food!"
  • "Friendly staff, lovely service."
  • "The service at Fiori was excellent and our server Alesea was very accommodating."
  • "Super friendly staff who have a creative flair and passion for introducing the world to the unique flavours of the Philippines dessert world!"
  • "Love this place. It's quiet small but the ambience is pretty and cosy. The prices are affordable! The taste is 100%! Philipino icecream is my new favourite after visiting this place. The service is excellent."

Cons:

  • "However, very expensive (£7.50) for what it is and the waitress was rude."
  • "Service not great and atmosphere is very basic and feels unfinished."
  • "There was a bit of a lineup, but nothing crazy. Only two tables up front but people leave fast. Service average."
  • "Really disappointed in this cafe as we ordered 2 dishes and 2 coffees and asked for tap water as well and they said no, they don't do that."
  • "Menu is okay, but the customer service is poor and she is uninterested in serving us."
  • "If you happen to have pets with you, AVOID this place."
  • "Terrible customer service."
  • "The ice cream we had was amazing, my favourite was the soursop. The service from Juriz was exemplary. We were fortunate to meet with the management who were very friendly and kind."

Ambiance and Location

Pros:

  • "Fun place to try in London. They have multiple locations."
  • "The space is quite small but the service and ice cream are so good."
  • "It's much quieter than the Chinatown one, although it can get pretty busy too."
  • "Store is very good, convenient location."
  • "There are two Mamasons that I know of, and this one is located on Kentish Town on the high street towards the Camden Town end."
  • "Came here for the Halo halo and of course couldn't resist starting out before taking a pic."
  • "Lovely Filipino flavoured ice cream and deserts. Love getting their bilogs and ube hot cocoa as a few faves."
  • "My only point is that I think an explanation of what the different flavours are on the board in the shop would be helpful."

Cons:

  • "The place is small though, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend for large groups."
  • "It was eat-out only, so no seating indoors. The shop is quite quirky and there was outdoor seating, although social distancing was a myth."
  • "My only issue is how looong it takes to get your order."
  • "There are three tables and my boyfriend had to clean the table on arrival ' and the place wasn't even busy."
  • "Whilst the halo halo here is a nice toned down version of what you get in the Philippines, and the ube ice cream is delicious, the problem here is they are inconsistent with their fillings."
  • "Although the food was good, service was atrocious! I went to the branch in Chinatown and only ordered one thing so waited just outside the shop doors because it was busy (baring in mind the shop was cramped)."
  • "Went in there, a very small place with four categories you can choose what you want to try out."
  • "Cosy backdrop, ice cool treats, flavours you can’t fathom. Simply one of the best dessert places in London, if not Europe."
