Activities and Attractions

Pros:

  • "We've all had a brilliant day. Very interactive and always something going on."
  • "We got to cuddle a piggy, feed animals, bottle feed baby goats, got to go on rides, jump on a trampoline, and so much more!!"
  • "Definitely get moneys worth, all the animals are so beautiful and so many activities too keep the children busy."
  • "There was lots to do and there were many activities going on every half hour."
  • "Our highlight of the day was getting to hold a baby pig absolutely amazing."
  • "There's plenty to do here and if anyone has any young kids they will love the play areas, rides and feedings."
  • "With small animals to hold (with a cuddle blanket provided by the farm), to piggy racing with brilliant commentary, to goat walking, red rocket tractor rides, playgrounds, donkeys and ponies, baby goat feeding, donkey/pony brushing, there was so much to experience."

Cons:

  • "Some of the rides were very simplistic, where I believe, with a little more thought could have been made a little more imaginative."
  • "Some parts part felt a bit rushed and some unnecessarily dragged out (like the nativity and pig cuddling) even though it wasn’t busy."
  • "The only downside would be that we felt a bit rushed.... As a result we didn't get to go on the tractor ride, toast marshmellows or just look at the animals."
  • "It looks a great place for a day out, but it could be so much better at Christmas with some enthusiastic staff, a bit more time to enjoy the attractions and some time to play."
  • "Was a bit strange compared to previous years going in with other families to the grotto."
  • "The barn was great, but it felt like you didn’t get enough time to eat, toast marshmallows, tractor ride and play on the inflatables - 45 minutes, or less in our case and was nowhere near enough time."
  • "I’d say my only negative was the queue wait to see Santa, with 4,5 and 8 year olds, this was a struggle as they were hyped up and then had to queue for about 25mins!"

Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "The staff were all friendly and welcoming to the families."
  • "Ladies was polite and professional at the entrance of the park in the shop in fact all staff was polite and professional with smiles on their faces."
  • "Very well organised and run by cheerful and enthusiastic staff."
  • "The staff were amazing too, so friendly and happy, and kept the children engaged during the events and talks."
  • "All the staff helpful and friendly! Highly recommend."
  • "Staff were so friendly and helpful, the nativity was engaging."
  • "The staff were lovely and really helpful. They pointed us in the right direction when we were trying to locate things."

Cons:

  • "The Elves were a bit, well just not elves, the staff didn’t even pretend to be elves and barked you on to a tractor ride and didn’t seem to know much if you asked them a question."
  • "Edited to add... we bought deer food but couldn't reach the deers, they were in a pen with a second fence, so you couldn't get anywhere near them."
  • "The donkeys aren't as friendly as the ponies."
  • "Things to improve would be more toilets (not portaloos) and staff awareness on allergens."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "On first booking my initial thought was it was quite expensive but once we were there I can 100% understand the cost!"
  • "There is so much included in the experience and we felt it was really good value for money."
  • "Great value for money and all the animals look happy and well looked after."
  • "All included in the price."
  • "Great value for money."
  • "It is worth the money 100%."
  • "Great value for money with the number of attractions on offer."

Cons:

  • "Tickets for me, wife and daughter (under 3 so free), came to just shy of £40 so it's not cheap."
  • "Only slight downfall is that it’s card only and there are lots of wasps around the eating areas!"
  • "Bit disappointed about paying for the marshmallows to roast but kids still loved doing it."
  • "The only downside was that the food and drinks were quite expensive, but considering all the other fun things we did, it didn't diminish the overall experience."
  • "Food on site was delicious, but a little expensive."
  • "However, a cream tea and a cup of tea came to £8.75. Nealy 30 quid for 2 sarnies, a cup of tea, a can of coke, a scone, and a sausage roll. Take your own food....."
  • "I personally wasn't keen on the passing around the animals in the barn as it was quite busy and felt it was unfair on them."

Facilities and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Clean toilets and lots of hand washing stations."
  • "Beautiful setting, lots of picnic tables with fantastic views and close to play areas and activities."
  • "Shaded kennel facilities for those who have dogs as they're not allowed onto the farm."
  • "Plenty of space for lunchtime break across the farm with an option of taking your own lunch or buying from the cafe, lots of parking and even indoor bouncy castle."
  • "The terrain is reasonable Accessible for wheelchair users, although in some areas the fields were steeper or the gravelled paths weren't as flat."
  • "Attention to detail was brilliant such as low level facilities for the children and gaps in fences at child height."
  • "The kennels for the dogs were spacious and secure."

Cons:

  • "The farm is cashless except 1 or 2 kids rides that requires £1."
  • "There is no pub on the farm that serves home-cooked meals or a decent meal, so it's better to eat before leaving."
  • "Wasps are a pain at times when trying to sit down to eat at any of the picnic benches."
  • "Bring lots of water and a packed lunch as the cafe food options are limited."
  • "Would love to see a changing places toilet installed at this attraction."
