Equipment and Facilities

Pros:

  • "The equipment seemed very well kept and in good working order."
  • "The maps were probably the best paintball maps I’ve experienced."
  • "The equipment is all really good along with the different games and objectives."
  • "The new guns were great, the marshalls are friendly, disciplined and full control over the games."
  • "Well-maintained equipment and huge site."
  • "The equipment is top notch and modern."
  • "The equipment is very good and they have other specialist guns (for an extra fee) for better accuracy which I have not seen offered before at other paintballing venues."

Cons:

  • "Very significant scuffs on the mask lead to insufficient visibility to the sides."
  • "Guns running out of air, or not firing or whatever the issue is."
  • "The paintball guns were of very poor quality. They kept on jamming regardless of ammo or gun type."
  • "Helmets are not provided (only goggles) leading to numerous severe injuries in the back of the head."
  • "Frequent problems with the guns: the weapon often jams, magazine falls off, you need to shake the gun because the ammo don’t go down."
  • "They may have the best guns in the UK but it sure did jam a lot!"
  • "The guns could be better as well."

Value and Pricing

Pros:

  • "I'd recommend the £40 package, it gives you 100 balls a game which should be enough unless you're a complete nutter."
  • "So many great games to play and you get so much for your money!"
  • "Very well organised paintball venue, costs are very reasonable but it's the staff that are the highlight."
  • "You also get half pizza and a bottle of water included."
  • "The prices were a lot cheaper than any other site I've ever been to, an added bonus!"
  • "Price is fair and in line with what you are getting for a 6 hours event like this."
  • "Everything is transparent so I don’t feel like I have been robbed."

Cons:

  • "The 'extras' pricing is extreme."
  • "The paintballs could have been cheaper."
  • "Before you begin Go Paintball very kindly offers you top ups at a reduced rate (which is still extortionate for what you're getting)."
  • "Lovely stuff but the paintball munitions are quite expensive as they ask you to buy 1000 bullets for £67 separately on top of the entry fees."
  • "It is an expensive activity - you can expect it to cost about £60 for paintballs and a rifle upgrade."
  • "The pricing business model is misleading I find."
  • "The only gripe would be how expensive paintballs seem to have gotten these days."

Organization and Management

Pros:

  • "The booking system and website is great, very easy to get around and allows for players to pay for their own paint bullets on their own during the day, making it easier for the organiser."
  • "The event is very well organized, everything runs smoothly and on time."
  • "The day was really well-managed (from arrival, to check-in, to arranging paint packages, to the actual games!) and is run brilliantly by the venue manager Dom."
  • "The staff at Go Paintball are super attentive and always listening and communicating."
  • "The staff was very welcoming and the whole experience is well organised to the small details."
  • "GO Paintball was professionally managed and really well organised."
  • "The day was highly organised and very informative from the start."

Cons:

  • "It felt to all of my group of friends that no rules were enforced."
  • "The site seemed a little overbooked and we spent more time on break and having briefings than we did actually playing."
  • "Given the size of the groups on the day, it felt like there was an insufficient number of staff to run the games smoothly."
  • "The staff could pay more attention to the game as some people that were shot wouldn’t be sent off."
  • "While the place is spacious and creatively done, the safety measures and the staff’s attention to enforcing these rules is lacking."
  • "Very much feels like they pack as many people in as possible for max profits."
  • "My main complaint is about the way the games were organised and especially the enforcing of rules."
