Food Quality

Pros:

  • "All of it was delicious. Beautifully presented, great quality produce and really good value for money."
  • "The food is amazing every time I come here, also would like to say thank you to the staff who looked after me after I fainted in the doorway from becoming too hot."
  • "The moroccan chicken was full of flavour and the paella tasted to fresh."
  • "The food was absolutely delicious, the chef here certainly knows how to prepare seafood properly, both the squid and the prawns were excellent."

Cons:

  • "Had some beautiful food here in the past but my last visit at the end of May was not very exciting, Chips were like something out of my freezer, steak was not the nicest."
  • "I would advise against having steak, they were poor - gristly, tasteless and undercooked."
  • "Fish & chips should be easy to not get wrong."
  • "The food was mediocre and the service was abysmal. We went in just before 1pm and we got out, having had only two courses, at just gone 3pm!"

Service

Pros:

  • "The staff was very welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful."
  • "Louise is just the best waitress. Warm and engaging, she's also really funny, and helped make a recent lunch with friends memorable for all the right reasons."
  • "Really lovely food. Good service and went back a couple of days later I liked it so much!"
  • "We had a small birthday party there. The extensive menu allowed for all diets to be catered for. The food was excellent."

Cons:

  • "Poor customer service- were made to feel like an inconvenience from the start."
  • "Waiting staff have not returned with dessert menu or coffee as requested."
  • "Had our first meal there on Friday. Great food and good friendly service. The restaurant is clean and well presented. This visit was during the Covid19 period and the staff were taking it seriously and following the guidelines."
  • "Staff didn't seem to know what they were doing - headless chickens comes to mind although they seemed very friendly."

Ambiance and Decor

Pros:

  • "The ambiance of the place is charming, and the stylish decor creates a pleasant atmosphere."
  • "Great menu and reasonable prices. Despite it was very busy the meals were served promptly. All were beautifully presented and very delicious."
  • "It's a clean, bright and airy place. We were welcomed upon entering and sat up in a corner with music wafting from the speakers but the waitress turned it down upon request."
  • "Lovely makeover and the staff were really friendly. Our lunch was £7 a head it was excellent value. There were even treats for the dogs on the bar."

Cons:

  • "Atmosphere wad good, food wasn't great. Small portions and slightly disappointing."
  • "The atmosphere was lovely. It nice to go to a restaurant where you don't feel crammed in. Staff were great and attentive even though it was busy."
  • "Thankfully the staff were happy to turn the music off in the top corner of the restaurant so we were able to have lovely quiet leisurely lunch. Why do restaurants feel the need to inflict pop music on the customers when they are eating...??"
  • "Difficult to judge fully, called in with my brother's on a Friday night, so expected it to be busy. Got a table ok and drinks, warned there might be a wait, which is fine. But the downside was there was live music in the same part as you eat."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "All of it was delicious. Beautifully presented, great quality produce and really good value for money."
  • "Very reasonably priced as well!"
  • "The food is amazing every time I come here, also would like to say thank you to the staff who looked after me after I fainted in the doorway from becoming too hot."
  • "The staff were very friendly and not obtrusively attentive, the waitress/possibly manager was awesome. 2 starters, 2 adult mains and 2 kids mains with 2 kids desserts came to around £55 which felt great value with 5 soft drinks."

Cons:

  • "Prices were good but reflected with quality."
  • "Not cheap but not all meals good value."
  • "Nice food, good service but! My wife and myself had food served on chipped bowls also the Paella was more like a starter or a child’s portion not worth the £17:99 as a main meal, overpriced small portions."
  • "The price of the drinks is very steep don't know why this would be as it's not even middle of town."
