Hiking Experience

• "It's great to wonder around using your bike, contrary to other heritage places."

Cons:

• "If you do this and then head down one of the right turns downhill towards Castleton, be wary, it is a very narrow path, rubble and stone with a steep descent."

• "Wear suitable clothing and take care if you have children or a dog because the drops are very steep."
• "One thing that was a challenge was the constant battering from the wind, the photos don't show that either."
• "A word of warning, pack waterproofs and walking boots as the heavens opened and we had to take cover during the heavy downpour."

• "Was very crowded and the local farmer threatened us with a gun and chased us in his truck, despite the fact our dog was on a lead."

• "If you are parking outside the designated areas be aware there are traffic wardens about particularly at weekends."
• "Just a pity National Trust haven't put litter bins and dog poo bins in place as this is encouraging owners to just hang poo bags on fences or just throw them under car."
