Playground and Activities

Pros:

  • "Wonderful playground for kids. Many swings since baby to teenager."
  • "Nice open space, absolutely fantastic for all outdoor events like rounders, football, competition picnicking, eating baked foods etc."
  • "A lovely green which sometimes hosts fun fairs, musical festivals, football matches etc."
  • "The facilities for kids are amazing too. There's an adventure playground, a sandpit, and water play."
  • "Great play park for the children."
  • "Park has benefitted from a new play area for the kids to burn off some energy. The area includes a trampoline, sand pit, plenty of water, slides and swings."
  • "By far the best playground in the area. Swings, big a little slides, climbing nets, trampoline, roundabout and a big water play area."

Cons:

  • "The whole playground looks more like to be for 5+ kids. Almost everything is not really suitable for youngest one, apart from baby swings."
  • "Its somehow a bit barren and desolate in the common part acres of cut grass neither park or common but a lot of sport fields which are used but not by everyone."
  • "Unfortunately it is a bit dangerous for youngsters as the wet stones are slippery."
  • "Adventure playground which unfortunately appears not to update opening hours, making visits there (adv playground) hit or miss."

Cafe and Refreshments

Pros:

  • "A very good cafe and some excellent events throughout the year."
  • "Charming staff, nice coffee, all good."
  • "There's a fine café and a great feeling of openness."
  • "Cafe is good."
  • "A nice little cafe though didn't have time to go in."
  • "There is a lovely cafe that serves food, soft and alcoholic beverages."
  • "The cafe has been recently refurbished and it serves a wide variety of cold and freshly cooked food, including pizzas."

Cons:

  • "It could be something so special, with its central location, it's quirky semi circular shape, it's turf roof... But it is run by a chain, it's bland, it's overpriced, faceless and soulless."
  • "Children's meals priced OK. Adults' a bit pricey but good quality."
  • "Pretty lousy coffee unfortunately. My husband had an americano, tasted like hot brown water, and my flat white, no better."

  • "Another lovely London space and well maintained."
  • "Fabulous local park of approx 65 acres. Lots of variety within with different style gardens and enclosures. Great duck pond!"
