  • "Great shopping centre with many shops. Lots of travel links."

Cons:

  • "A pale shadow of its former self as covid and the High Street crunch has taken hold."
  • "Used to love going to this place as parking costs were a lot lower than Reading so didn't mind the extra 15 miles to get there. But now their prices have gone up a lot."
  • "Finding suitable parking can be a bit challenging for a new visitor."
  • "Was refused entry into Apple Store by officious manager who insisted I wouldn't be allowed in without a face covering."
  • "Good to go for food and any destination shops you already know you need to visit. But Reading and Bracknells shopping centres are far better to browse due to them having nicer shops that are also less spread out."
  • "Could benefit from further nice cake & coffee shops not just usual bland chains."
  • "People my son, and daughters age are travelling outside of Basingstoke for leisure especially in the evenings."

Parking

Pros:

  • "Parking has just been refurbished so that’s good."
  • "Easy access from M3 with plenty of car parking."
  • "Lots of parking in the multi-story which has recently been refurbished to include a light system above the parking bays with a green light indicating an empty space."
  • "Plenty of parking made it easy to visit (as well as being very close to the train station for Public Transport), and parking costs were very reasonable."
  • "Ample relatively cheap car parking spaces."
  • "Getting in and out of the car park is easy, without needing to queue for miles."
  • "Parking is good too. Large parking spaces if you have kids it's no problem."

Cons:

  • "The parking takes long time to get situated because you need to drive all around the roof of the building to only reach the parking lot."
  • "Beware of high parking charges, however."
  • "Car parking outside Debenham is a nightmare with pensioners getting very confused with the new system."
  • "No free one hour parking anymore."
  • "Also car parking machines only took cash when we are all being asked to use contactless!"
  • "Car park expensive and difficult to exit in busy periods."
  • "Quarter of the carpark is constantly closed due to renovation, resurfacing, safety or electrical problems, but you won't know which part until entering the carpark."

Cons:

  • "The staff in certain stores are a bit cold, bordering on rude."
  • "Don't ask any of the staff one might see. None have a clue."
  • "I don't like to go there anymore parking is expensive, if you need help it is hard to find any staff."
  • "Its was ironic to see four security/covid marshalls, all without face masks standing no more than a metre apart in a group having a chat!!"
  • "The only problem I had is the covid police chatted in huddles and didn't seem to be doing a very good job of getting people to keep distance or walk the correct way."
  • "Too busy here today for my liking people walking round like zombies getting in the way pay attention people."
  • "One big minus is getting to the shops via the multi story car park. Would you really want to share the world's smallest lift with a total stranger or risk some of the most dank, mugger friendly stairs."

  • "I think it's a great shopping centre with a great selection of shops to suit all tastes. What let's this centre down is the lack of care in the facilities. I mean it has the worst smelling toilets I've ever been in way worse than London."
  • "They do keep the inside clean but the interior looks very 90's / early 2000's so it's looking a tad tired these days."

  • "Massive in town shopping mall with a good selection of eateries and shops of all type, however, the signage is rubbish and it's easy to get lost."
