  • "Arndale Market in Manchester is a shopping haven that boasts an impressive variety of shops and brands."

Cons:

  • "Not the best place to go for shopping. Most of the shops are closing anyway."
  • "It's not as good as the old market was."
  • "Worst centre in terms of timing. Today (Sunday) 17 April, it was supposed to open at 11:30 am and hundreds of people were waiting outside of its several entry gates and I was there until 11:48 am but still it didn't open and I had leave."
  • "Parking is worst part of going into arndale centre. Very expensive."
  • "Not sure why I'm being asked to rate this place. Its a shopping centre. Spoiler alert.... it has shops!!!! You can shop, eat and go the loo.... in pretty much the same places you see in any shopping centre in any city!"
  • "This used to be a price friendly food outing, now it seems to have priced itself towards entry level restaurant price structure, but with awful seating and intense atmosphere."
  • "Not like it used to be couldn’t find what I wanted bring back department stores and the car park is a rip off didn't know it was park and pay, no machine on my level 11 as I came out to find a parking ticket on car won't be using again"

Food and Dining

Pros:

  • "It's full of amazing little food places from Japanese to Brazilian with everything in between."
  • "I love this market, so much! I love the diversity and abundance of the street food stalls... I wish this was compulsory in all big cities!!"

  • "Really good selection all round the world selection you cannot really fault here most of them are really nice go and check it out yourself you will not be disappointed."
  • "The food market in the arndale is fabulous with massive amounts of choice. We had waffles and coffee, but had a myriad of choices on offer. A must for the cities new visitors."
  • "A massive, progressive rethinking of retail space has occurred in this market. It now has food retailers from many countries around the globe. You're spoilt with choices."

Cons:

  • "Seating area is not much...so you have to wait a bit to get the chair in food corner."
  • "Just went to grab breakfast and there was a mouse running around the place."
  • "The one issue I have with it is that it tends to get busy at lunchtime, and since there aren't a lot of seats, it's not really a sit down kind of place."
  • "The market starts to close around 6pm, so it's not ideal if you're in work until 5/6pm."
  • "Went to Panchos burrito place in the arndale market. The food was disgusting."
  • "Bought some vegetable pakoras from the 1st stall on the left as you walk into the street food market inside Arndale. The pakoras where such a let down and waste of money the guy just picked a few out and microwaved them yuk! So dry and cold!"
  • "Stuff looks great but flavours are really lacking. Especially the beef ramen from the Japanese stand. We asked what she recommended and she said the beef ramen was 'the best'. I would hate to think what the worst is..."

Customer Service

Pros:

  • "Security and staff are lovely! Just wish they would stand up more to the bored year 8s with puffer jackets lollllll."
  • "The store owners in the market seem like proper traders. They give great customer service because they have a reputation to uphold."

Cons:

  • "There is very rude and miss behaving man at fish market not with me but in front of me there was two asian ladies smiling and requesting him to do something but he started shouting at them and embarrassed them because they could not speak English properly...not suggest to go there soon."
  • "However, I would not shop there again since the Chinese worker there was very impolite."
  • "A place for the manc scallys to hang out and shop lift. Girls with trout lips and more makeup then coco the clown. Full of scum in tracksuits who think it looks trend to look like a cheap Russian gangster from a GTA game. Avoid it."
  • "The two nails shop in the arndale market (American nails and the one next to it) are both absolutely awful."
  • "But some traders not as good as they used to be. Sadly one the phone stalls seems to have let all their standards totally drop. No longer trustworthy."
  • "It is what it is. Too many independent stalls too close together. You can get great bargains and great food but the whole CoVid management aspect could benefit from review."
  • "It is not the place to let us go! Please avoid go to the area near Black Hair extension!"
