Park Atmosphere and Scenery

Pros:

  • "A lovely place for a walk. There is an arboretum with some great old redwood trees and a lovely path by the lake."
  • "Beautiful place for a nice walk! Ample parking, great cafe and facilities and beautiful scenery."
  • "It's got something for everyone young and old. Excellent walks, children's playground, lake, arboretum as well a small café."
  • "The park is huge with beautiful gardens, decent number of trails, playground, cafe with toilets, large car park."
  • "The gardens and trails are beautiful and well taken care of."
  • "Lovely scenic park! We took a little picnic and spent the day there."
  • "Wow. What an amazing fabulous place but I would say that knowing Connor who is at his best of the job."
  • "My first visit here (in January) but this park was a revelation."

Cons:

  • "Reminds me 'The Maze runner'. Bit scary as it was very quiet and those trails joining and separating at each end was a bit annoying too."
  • "Had a great walk until I reached the visitor centre then the whole day was spoilt A ranger was using a leaf blower to clear the leaves from a woodland path."
  • "Good place within very short drive from Slough. Ample parking space, good walk, cafe, slides and swings for kids, good cycling and walking zones."
  • "Great park, shame about the amount of people arriving by car. Greeted on arrival by several lungfuls of emissions when I'm there to get away from pollution!"

Facilities and Amenities

Pros:

  • "The cafe has a good selection of drinks and cakes or have lunch all at reasonable prices."
  • "Dog friendly and separate arrangements for male and female restrooms are there. A small refreshment shop is also there for quick snacks or ice cream."
  • "The whole experience was wonderful xx. The staff are second to none."
  • "Nice new hotel decorated to a high standard with attentive staff. Couple of bedding in issues but the fact that they hire for attitude makes up for that."
  • "The car park unfortunately is not big and it is usually full when the sun is shining during the 2 months of bloom."
  • "The park covers a large area and it is worth considering coming more than once. The pay car park was very busy on the Sunday we were there."
  • "Parking was around £4/3h and was through machine or through ringgo app. Would definitely go back."
  • "This place is just perfect, plenty of carpark spaces, small cafe serving drinks and ice creams etc."

Cons:

  • "Lovely relaxing place to walk, very open. Cafe coffee was good. Big issue though was the Toilets, Unisex.... please please all Toilets should have a Separate Ladies."
  • "Parking is expensive and ridiculous!!! When the parking is full there is no provision to park on the road even when there is so much spare land around!"
  • "Parking is a bit steep but I guess it all goes to maintenance in the park so can’t really complain."
  • "The park was great actually but the parking place has a height restriction of 1,8m so wasn't able to drive in and park a mini-van there."

Family and Pet Friendliness

Pros:

  • "They have a lovely play area for the kids and ice cream. Always enjoy visiting Langley park."
  • "Highly recommended for kids family and everyone."
  • "A beautiful place for a nice walk!... In an area blessed with some outstanding public spaces it is as appealing as any of them."
  • "Lovely park for a stroll with the family. Loads of people walking their dogs, a very nice playground."

Cons:

  • "would wish dog owners would keep their dogs on a leash when near kids. (or have a separate area) as one let their dog go and ran right through us."
  • "Dogs and more dogs at this dog paradise. Don’t come here unless you have lots of big dogs otherwise people will laugh and point at you for being dogless."
