Cons:
"Totally agree with milenas comment, never going back the staff are truly appalling, and rude."
"I’ve never been treated so bad in all my life I was told to put my dog on a lead which I done my parents friend has two border collies who are so well trained but he was told a number of times to put them on the lead and then he ended up having a discussion with the site manager who basically dismissed what he was saying."
"If I could give a 0 star I would. The staff at this campsite are very rude, unhelpful and aggressive."
"Terrible campsite and terrible staff who run the site."
"Absolutely Appalled by these women."
"I would avoid this place at all cost the staff members are rude and abusive."
"Both women were completely unprofessional and had a very intimidating manner."
Facilities and Cleanliness
Pros:
"The facilities were spotless."
"Clean area for cassette toilet emptying with grey water drain immediately adjacent."
"Spacious pitches. Nice clean toilets and showers."
"Very pretty backdrop of Ditchling. Nice big pitch. Clean toilets and showers."
"Great spaced pitches amazingly clean toilet/shower block cleaned regularly thought the day and site beautifully kept."
"Shower and toilet facilities excellent."
"The shower block is kept spotless and the addition of a microwave & kettle in the laundry room is very thoughtful for those under canvas if needed."
Cons:
"The Toilet/Shower blocks, need an update and disabled facilities added."
"However, electric points are quite far apart and showers and toilets are not the cleanest but for peek season they are OK."
"Then there's the showers, again not enough for such a large site. There are 6 in the women's and gents and one in the gents is out of order. Every time we went for a shower it's been cold!"
"Sadly that is all that is good about this site. The site is massive and there is only 3 stations to do dishes and every time we went we queued and the water was cold."
"Shower block cleaned but the facilities were tired & worn out (including the disabled loo) & could do with refurbishing."
"The showers are good strength but can go cold if there is a large amount of people using them."
"The toilets are a bit cramped."
Location and Environment
Pros:
"This site is stunning, with its wild meadow, with beautiful grasses and wild flowers, butterflies."
"The site is surrounded by natural beauty."
"Perfect place to stay for access to the South Downs and pub walks."

"Nice location, near to Brighton, well kept and the hosts were very pleasant and helpful."
"The site offers panoramic views of the South Downs, which are beautiful - a nice view to wake up to!"
Cons:
"You can hear cars at night as the site is not far from the road but I sleep with earplugs so it didn't bother me."
"It is in the flight path for Gatwick, close to a noisy road."
"Site is near a road so there was a little noise overnight however the views of the south downs and facilities more than make up for this."
"Unfortunately my pitch was too far from the electrical point and the road noise and planes for Gatwick kept my light sleeping children awake."
"One shower/toilet block at entrance where reception is... A long walk to the block....300 meters."
"No where for parking large vehicles in the Villages."
"You need to walk to a bus stop in Hassocks, to go anywhere which took us twenty minutes."
Value and Cost
Pros:
"Very affordable and well maintained."
"Brilliant campsite will definitely be visiting again."
"We walked to hassocks train station which was only a 20 minutes walk and caught a train to Brighton which was only £4.80 return for adults."

"Great little spot, with view of Jack & Jill Windmills. Facilities are clean and showers are great!"
"Beautifully kept campsite and short grass and lots of space."
"Large site with staff living on site. All profits go towards a local project they are building."
Cons:
"And expensive I thought ..£52 for camper van plus two people for 2 nights..."
"Although it was quite expensive especially with a 2nd car and a dog."
"Good location although the road was noisier than we expected."
"£118 Battery stolen! Stored our caravan here and battery was stolen from locked compartment."
"Disappointed with the service. I requested to change dates/get some credit for the 3 nights camping I paid for due to the atrocious weather forecast of constant rain and 40mph winds, but was told a flat 'no'."
"We have stayed at this site 3 or 4 times now when we wanted to visit Brighton, a little expensive for what you have."
"I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS BABYS OR TODDLERS AS THE OWNERS AND WORKERS ARE NOT UNDERSTANDING THAT CHILDREN DO CRY OR HAVE NIGHT TERRORS."
