Facilities
Pros:
"Great site with excellent facilities which were kept in pristine cleanliness."
"Large flat campsite. Two shower blocks only 3 showers in each for male/female campers."
"The facilities are spotless and the hard work by staff reflects."
"Facilities were well maintained. Good COVID-19 procedures."
"The shower/toilet facilities were spotless!"
"There are two very modern shower/toilet blocks with very good facilities."
"Toilets and showers post wave 1 of COVID were very clean and carefully managed."
Cons:
"Facilities were kept clean although in one block there was a large wet patch near the basins which wasn't cleaned up immediately."
"Showers could do with a bit of descaling, but again a minor point."
"Only let down one washer and dryer for large site."
"The recent rain had resulted in one shower block being closed as he had got flooded."
"Out dated washing area some taps hardly working. Toilets dirty."
"Only negative no shop on site although I think there will be soon & not enough bins or dog litter bins."
"No shop on site, and no children's play area."
Staff and Service
Pros:
"Staff are friendly and polite."
"The managers are excellent and were so helpful."
"Staff were brilliant Tracey went out if her way to ensure we were happy with our pitch especially as we had our dog with us and we stayed during the September heatwave!"
"All the staff were friendly, helpful & diligent in their 'duties'."
"Excellent friendly & helpful staff who although dealing with a FULLY BOOKED SITE found time to offer help even with a smile!"
"Although busy over a bank holiday weekend, the staff were very friendly and helpful."
"The wardens work tirelessly to keep this site immaculate and are very friendly and helpful."
Cons:
"The staff varied from friendly and helpful to outright rude."
"The attitude of the staff was absolutely outrageous!"
"But spoiled by a couple of Wardens, my husband is disabled, and was refused access to Elsan point as they were about to be cleaned."
"The attitude of the managers put me off and have therefore taken my business to the Cambridge C&CC site."
"However the security wasn't great - you could easily walk on and off the site without any question."
"I find the staff often rude and unhelpful."
"The site its self looks lovely, very well maintained, but the lady that I believe runs reception is rude."
Location
Pros:
"The location is excellent being near to the town centre, footpaths, cycle paths leading into the town and out into the countryside along the Ouse Valley."
"You can also pitch near the river as it runs along the back of the site."
"Great location next to the river with walks directly into the park through the woods and then into town."
"You could not tell that you are in the centre of a housing estate and close proximity to the town centre, as this site is so peaceful."
"The site is located on the river but as the towpath is public, the site is accessible to anyone."
"A very nice site within easy walking distance to St Neots town centre."
"The site is on the banks of the river Ouse in lovely countryside yet only a 15 min walk to the centre of St Neots."
Cons:
"At night I heard plenty of traffic but this had quietened down by midnight."
"The cost of my 3 night stay was just £28 (with age concession) and if I had to have a small gripe it would be the traffic noise from the A1 that becomes apparent at night time as the site quietens down after 11pm."
"The nearby road was noisier than I expected but this isn't a rural location so, perhaps, to be expected."
"Very narrow residential roads to access site."
"The only down side is that you have to drive through a residential housing estate to get to the camp."
"My only gripe is the location - whilst the site is next to a lovely river and there is a gorgeous park nearby, to get to the campsite it is via a very built-up residential area which actually put me off!"
"There is always a mainline train track nearby with trains running all through the night."
