  • "Staff were lovely. It was busy but plenty of tables."
  • "All staff attentive and helpful."
  • "The staff are very friendly. Welcome you in with big sincere smiles."

Cons:

  • "Very rude staff - I asked if I could have my coffee in a takeaway cup so I could leave when my friend arrived, they sent me to the takeaway window and then refused to let me sit in the empty cafe and told me to go sit in the rain."
  • "Food is ok but not worth the money they charge. But most of all i was Appalled by the service."
  • "After we were seated we were ignored for almost 10 minutes."
  • "What a dreadful place, most worrying is they don't have any allergy information."
  • "It was cold and draughty staff couldn't care less the bacon was burnt and we only went the once it's the worst cafe I've been to."
  • "On bank holiday Sunday- At the door we were greeted (actually not greeted) by a very young woman who was extremely patronising and at the same time very dismissive."
  • "The 'supervisor' replied rudly, 'we dont do soya coffes here'."

Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Great menu, quick service and delicious food."
  • "Takeaway burgers, hot dogs and scampi bites all tasted great, and were pretty decently sized portions too."
  • "They had a good selection of food which was all freshly prepared with very little waiting time despite being fairly busy."
  • "The food is great quality; and very fresh too!"
  • "Their breakfast baps were incredibly good, the bread was freshly baked, and bacon and eggs were top quality."
  • "The breakfast was cooked to perfection. The sausages bacon were of the best quality."
  • "Food is good, simple menu well cooked, great service and most of all they welcome dogs."

Cons:

  • "Sausages were appalling - juice is from concentrate, coffee had a funny after taste."
  • "Whitebait, scampi and chicken nuggets tasted like mass produced frozen food, made from cheap ingredients."
  • "The hot chocolates were so tasteless, I don't believe there was any milk involved, just water."
  • "Had a fish & chips yesterday. Tasted frozen and fish was fishy. Disgusting, tasted as if they don't use fresh fish when they have the sea right next to them!"
  • "When we got the vegan bap, another disspointment. It had CHEESE on it! no hash browns and no tomato."
  • "The battered 'cod', well some sort of fish was from frozen, no flavour to it."
  • "Easily the worst 'cod' and chips we've ever had. Batter was burnt on the outside, totally soggy and grey in the middle and almost no fish to speak of inside."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "I often have a burger there and its one of the best in the area, with salad and a few chips for £6."
  • "Prices a bit lower than I'd expect for the location, and definitely worth it given what you get for your money."
  • "The breakfast here is delicious and ridiculously reasonably priced, considering location."
  • "Nice food for a reasonable price, especially considering they have a captive market."
  • "It was lovely, reasonably priced for the excellent quality of produce used."
  • "Well cooked and presented all day breakfast and good value at £8.50."
  • "The breakfast was good using tasty, quality ingredients."

Cons:

  • "Food is ok but not worth the money they charge."
  • "However factor in the pot of tea at restaurant prices then not cheap, just typical seaside prices."
  • "3 coffees and toasted bread cost bluddy £15. Joke."
  • "The food was mediocre, service was unsatisfactory, prices did not reflect the quality."
  • "It was quite a bit more expensive than Harvester."
  • "The prices are steep due to location, but with the quality of food and seating it makes you wonder if they could at least get descent ingredients, like fresh fish and home made chips."
  • "So basically £16 for two portions of chips."

  • "A disappointment to go today and to be told that upstairs was closed, being 3pm on a Sunday in the middle of summer..."
  • "On the seats by the windows in the afternoon you may get the right in your eyes and they do not have any shades, so be ready with some sun shades."
