Food Quality

Pros:

  • "The food is amazing, reasonably priced and was quick to arrive."
  • "The food was amazing! Literally everything you put in your mouth was jaw-droppingly tasty."
  • "Food was fantastic and we had pretty much everything on the menu over a good session."
  • "Their food is amazing."
  • "The sweet potato bravas were honestly the highlight of my entire meal - sweet, savoury with the special creamy sauce and the nuts on top really brought out all the flavours and it was extremely morish."
  • "Food was absolutely delicious - the truffled goats cheese and sweet potato bravas were standout dishes."
  • "The food is delicious: my personal favorites were the burrata and the octopus but all the dishes had character."

Cons:

  • "Everything was burned and tasted like charcoal."
  • "The lamb is dry and tough on a bed of stringy peas."
  • "The food is very poor, very old brownish olives (should have been green) even the Serrano ham was bland; the cheese board forgettable but the worst was the octopus: it was like trying to eat an old tyre."
  • "The food was revolting and certainly not worth the price even if it had been average."
  • "The pork cheek had a soft outer layer and hard, textureless interior, very possibly not fresh and just reheated."
  • "The beef onglet was also very chewy and we couldn't really taste much beef in it."
  • "Really disappointed with the tasteless food at Copita."

Service

Pros:

  • "The staff was very friendly and very attentive."
  • "Staff were fabulous - so friendly and attentive, pre-empting what we needed without us asking, and really taking care of us."
  • "Great service though, our waitress was so lovely."
  • "The staff were very friendly so service was good."
  • "Very friendly service !"
  • "Service was efficient and competent too."
  • "The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was amazing."

Cons:

  • "had a lovely time until a woman that transpired to be the manager, in response to a request of food and a bottle of wine, told me and my friends we only had 1 hr left on the table (no one communicated any time restrictions) and that there was a minimum spend."
  • "The only reason why I take a star off was the bathroom and the issue with noise in the restaurant."
  • "After being excited by the smells and busyness, you are then treated to inhospititality, by most of the staff, constantly."
  • "No indication in the menu of what is vegan or vegetarian. And staff didn't know what vegan means."
  • "This ruined what was otherwise a lovely evening through completely unacceptable and thoughtless service."
  • "With only one toilet for the males that wasn’t flushing was a bit of a disaster on the night we went."
  • "Service was really poor. Had to get up on three occasions to get service including to pay the bill."

Ambience

Pros:

  • "This place has a cool decor that feels like a tapas restaurant without the kitch feeling you get from a lot of 'Spanish' restaurants."
  • "Amazing tapas dishes, some great Spanish wines, and a fab atmosphere!"
  • "Fantastic and traditional Spanish tapas bar. Decor is spot on."
  • "Although the weather wasn't on our side what a fabulous Spanish experience we had in Copita."
  • "Gorgeous, chic little tapas bar with beautiful decoration (perfect low-lighting, white metro tiles and dark wood seating)."
  • "Cozy tapas place with vibrant ambience."
  • "Cozy spanish place set in Soho, It's one of my favourite."

Cons:

  • "Pretty confused at the reviews here, the tapas ranged from ok to average to terrible."
  • "The place is packed at night so be prepared to sit in tight places and share tabled etc."
  • "It's very lively and the music slaps, so keep that in mind if you're looking for somewhere quieter."
  • "Seating is all high stools so wouldn't recommend if you don't find these comfortable."
  • "Super loud but the atmosphere is so fun and in general the food was only okay."
  • "The environment is cozy and lively."
  • "It's a small restaurant & can be very loud, in case you wanted to have any deep & meaningfuls, this probably isn't the best place :)"

Value

Pros:

  • "Incredible Spanish and excellent value."
  • "Bit pricey but you get what you pay for."
  • "The food was excellent and most dishes reasonably priced for central London."
  • "Prices are very reasonable too, and much cheaper than other tapas spots in central London."
  • "The food was very yummy and reasonably priced. Definite recommendation for tapas."
  • "What about the price? Not expensive! Right in the middle of Soho!"
  • "Surprisingly good food at very reasonable prices."

Cons:

  • "Truly overpriced. Based on the price of the items, you’d think the tapas would be mid-sized, but no, the portions are truly tiny."
  • "The big issue is that for the food you get and the quantities, the price is crazy expensive !"
  • "However, I would say that the dishes were very overpriced had we paid full price."
  • "Wine was overpriced."
  • "The food overpriced considering the relatively small portion sizes (even for tapas)."
  • "I would say slightly over priced but that's London for you."
  • "The ajo blanco and beetroots were bland and boring, where as the tenderstem broccoli was underwhelming- quite overpriced for what it was."
