• "Perfect location, helpful staff but need to improve the site, it is the Lakes and always wet, but very muddy, waterlogged in places, all caravan pitches should be hard standing, this is possibly the jewel in the Crown site but needs slight updating to justify."

• "The campsite is a very popular one being in one of the Lake District's tourist hot spots on the shores of Derwentwater. The site was busy and had been for a lot of the summer. Our pitch, on grass was like a lot of others, very wet indeed, but then the Lake District gets a lot of rain."
