Food Quality

Pros:

  • "Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. The board had no flirting on it which made me laugh. The staff are friendly and the service faultless."
  • "The food was stunning, perfectly portioned and the service was great, we even received a couple of bonus dishes as there was a mistake so we got to try a couple extra dishes."
  • "Great food and service. Was running late to catch a train and was pleasantly surprised by super quick and friendly service and great tasting food."
  • "Amazing food and wonderful staff. A great variety of food that's always freshly made. Even when waiting to be seated this is done as quickly as possible and the staff are all very efficient."

Cons:

  • "The curries came extremely fast as if they had just been sitting in the kitchen, which they probably were as they became stone cold after 1 minute!"
  • "The only star I deducted because of the ambience, it is quite congested and in these Covid times, it becomes quite uncomfortable."
  • "Portion sizes here are a little small and so the staff advise you potentially get one of the kebabs to go with your curry."
  • "Some dishes are expensive for the portion size. Ok but not the best food or service I have had. Better places in Glasgow."

Service

Pros:

  • "The staff knows how to turn a bad review into a good review. I ordered some lamb chops on Thursday, and I think it was my mistake to not mention I want them well done, I found them hard and chewy. Long story short, the staff did not even change it for me but also took it off the bill."
  • "We stayed in Glasgow for a month & found out about this place near the end, our only regret is that we didn't know of it sooner!! After we found out, we were here literally every other day!"
  • "Had an excellent meal in a beautiful building. The restaurant makes you feel as though you've walked onto a movie set, and generally the atmosphere is very welcoming and intriguing."
  • "Staff are really attentive but not too much, just spot on, even though we came in just before the closing time."

Cons:

  • "Male waiter who’s name escapes me was rude and appeared disinterested all evening. Had a long wait for our starters and when they arrived my sister's was missing."
  • "It took half an hour to get seated, but the cocktail served us beer and wine beforehand. (You are notified with a vibrating disk, so no worries about being forgotten.)"
  • "We had been waited on by the same tall blond lady for the meal. Not too friendly or warm but OK. At the end as she walked by we asked for the bill only to be told in a cold curt manner 'I'm on my break'."
  • "Very disappointing! Overly spiced food (avoid the kebabs at all cost) Advised the waitress we weren’t happy and after she spoke to her manager we were just given the full bill with no explanation why the food tasted so bad."

Ambience

Pros:

  • "Loved the ambiance, but wouldn't hurry back given other options locally. The sharing menu just didn't cut it."
  • "Nice Indian style small dish place that supposedly recreates the Iranian expat cafe experience of India. Food was good and recommended, cocktails pretty good too."
  • "The venue is really nice with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is generally good but I think there is room for improvement."
  • "Absolutely amazing place. Great staff, beautiful food and great prices. Staff was really attentive but not too much, just spot on, even though we came in just before the closing time."

Cons:

  • "The seats and seating arrangements are not great. Seats were worn off at places. Customer service is okay at the best. Few waiters were really good while the majority of them having some sort of attitude and comes across a bit harsh, which is not great for a restaurant."
  • "The only negative was the mango lassi which was awful, worse than a cheap supermarket one. I have traveled India and had many mango lassis in India and London. I would have complained but it was so busy and I was happy with the rest of the experience."
  • "Food is tasty and nice to have a selection of small dishes; I like the masala fries and slaw a lot! The food generally less spicy than some other Indian restaurants in Glasgow (would prefer a little more variation as everything was mild/medium)."
