  • "The scenery there is nothing like the scenery there! There’s walking hiking and cows…."
  • "The rooms are beautifully furnished, which more than makes up for the size, giving it a cosy feel with stunning views."

Cons:

  • "Only room available to book was for high accessibility but photos were misleading and nor did the website explain that there were next to no windows - just a frosted highlight as if you were in a basement."
  • "The only issue we had was that we would have loved to know beforehand that the room didn't have any window."

Whisky and Gin Tasting

Pros:

  • "We did a tasting of their whiskies and especially enjoyed their single malt. Their gin was a standout as well, especially when served as a gin and tonic."

  • "We had a great guide and learned a lot about both the process and the different flavors in whiskey and gin."
  • "We had a tour by Patricia who was fantastic... so friendly and knowledgeable about the distillery, the distilling process and the Isle of Raasay."
  • "We managed to try out their whiskies and new launched Gin. Their Gin is fantastic."

Cons:

  • "The winter whiskey rate was higher for single occupancy than if it was booked separately."
  • "We ordered their Raasay Gin online and received a bottle which had been prewashed with peated Isle of Raasay spirit rather than unpeated spirit."

  • "The service, attention to detail, interior design, food and friendliness of staff was exemplary."

Cons:

  • "The room they provided had a heater on that would not shut off and one of the staff said 'yea I stayed here once and it did the same but we have fans for you' and left."
  • "Got the ferry over to have a look at the new distillery. Basically got walked out because we weren’t staying the night or booked onto a tour."
  • "Nice view from the distillery but as we entered no one bothered to even say hello.. the lady behind the counter seemed just bored."
  • "We arrived via the ferry from Sconser and had a fantastic experience at the distillery. It was relaxed but also very well organised, the staff so friendly and enthusiastic. Our accommodation was perfect. Great views over to Skye giving an atmospheric visit as the weather was being a tad moody. Breakfast couldn't be faulted - taken in a room with stunning views. We had a tour of the distillery before we deaprted back to Skye given by Steve which was also excellent. So thanks to the team, we had a fantastic time and will spread the word to family & friends to come and see for themselves."
