Food Quality and Variety

Pros:

  • "The food is so tasty and it mixes European with Middle Eastern food."
  • "We started with a great cappuccino and then had the best, one of a kind, breakfast full of flavours."
  • "Enjoyed the Turkish eggs. They got the balance right between the creamy yoghurt and spicy sausage."
  • "The quality of ingredients used for the full English was 🀌🏾. The sausage and bacon were a real standout."
  • "I loved all the individual features of the Mediterranean breakfast. The jam was lush with the strawberry pieces visible."
  • "The food was INCREDIBLE and the service was really lovely, fast and competent."
  • "Fresh. Flavoursome. Full. Four of us went for book club lunch and it was just gorgeous."
  • "The best brunch I have ever eaten. Great coffee, excellent menu and just all round good vibe."
  • "Food is seriously amazing, love the way they didn't make me wait for long as staff were extremely generous."
  • "Absolutely delicious food & coffee. A tad pricey but the service, quality of produce and uniqueness make it worthwhile."

Cons:

  • "Had a veggie breakfast which was massive, too big. Nice but the vegan sausage wasn’t very good."
  • "However, the English breakfast lacks some key components which makes it more a 'Partial English breakfast'."
  • "The chai latte had a slight bitter taste despite adding more sugar."
  • "The only little downside is that, victim of its success, the room can be a little noisy because there are too many people."
  • "The quality of the food is below average. For a place with such prices you would expect better ingredients."
  • "Very bland food, chicken and avocado wrap, the chicken is enormous chunks with no flavour at all."
  • "The food is either too much of different tastes at the same time, or not properly cooked."
  • "For the very upmarket decor of the place, you’d think the food would be better."

  • "The interior was classy and comfortable."
  • "A lovely bright clean and welcoming restaurant."
  • "Although we only selected two things from the menu, I find it very hard to imagine anything else on the menu would be bad."
  • "As soon as you enter, you are welcomed by the lovely decor that is warm and inviting."
  • "This cafe is pretty busy but don’t be put off by a queue - tables are turned very quickly."
  • "Lovely relaxed cafe in Highbury. A lot of thought and attention has gone into the interior and it exudes a type of 1980s Miami cool."
  • "Beautiful interiors! Very nice ambience and the food is absolutely delicious."

Cons:

  • "However, it can get busy, especially during peak hours, so it's best to get there earlier to avoid a long wait."
  • "The toilets smelt but the wallpaper was pretty."
  • "When it’s really busy it can get a bit noisy but there is quieter seating on the pavement."
  • "It gets very busy and they don't take reservations so getting there early is a bonus."

  • "Having had breakfast here many times it has never disappointed. The staff are friendly."

Cons:

  • "Used to be one of my favourite breakfast spot in the area then had unpleasant experience lately, the glass was dirty, waited food for too long and a little bit hair on my salad."
  • "Poached eggs can vary a little but mainly are runny and perfectly cooked."
  • "Horrendous customer service. Me and my wife were very good customers in Crouch End and recently Highbury branch. Today I was there in Highbury with my wife having not very cheap brunch and doing some life admin using my iPad. The shift manager, Mateo, asks us in a very rude way to 'close your laptop, you can't do that on weekends here'."
  • "Great food and good coffee but a little overpriced, they've understandably raised their prices when only allowed to serve outside."
  • "Today I came with my child and my friend with her child same age, we order a wrap avocado and chicken that wasn’t bad, but the thing that really surprised me was one of the waitress give a chocolate egg to my friend child in front of my child and did not give my child one, my poor child was crying and very upset even I was customer like my friend and with I child they haven’t offered him an egg chocolate very insensitive waiter will not come back again."
