Atmosphere and Service

Pros:

  • "The Caribbean Afternoon Tea was absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere with exceptional service from Parveen and Leah."
  • "First time at Rhythm Kitchen but definitely not the last. Food was amazing, fresh and very tasty. Service was the very best, staff was very welcoming and attentive."
  • "We had an amazing birthday party on Saturday evening. As always the food, service and the atmosphere was amazing! Thanks to everyone at Rhythm Kitchen E17 to the front staff to the Chef for making it a very special and memorable evening!"
  • "Visited Rhythm kitchen with a friend and was not disappointed. Reasonable waiting time for meal which arrived hot, very tasty and good sized portions. Will definitely be visiting again."

Cons:

  • "Came here for afternoon tea and I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing and portion sizes were ample. My only recommendation is for consideration to be given to table size and layout, as space was a little tight."
  • "If I could give minus stars I would. I am so disappointed and angry that despite booking a table for me and 9 of my friends to celebrate my 50th Birthday yesterday when I rang I was told that although you had my deposit in the system I had no booking!"
  • "Feedback for Walthamstow: Food was amazing but the service is really bad. Waited 20 minutes for 2 cocktails while two workers were sitting talking and one person was serving multiple tables."
  • "We weren't intending to deviate from our New Year diet, but life throws surprise after an evening of multi-cultural entertainment and some pints in Ye Olde Rose and Crown. Service was a bit slow as we watched a steady stream of takeaways pass through the front door."

Food Quality and Taste

Pros:

  • "Rhythm Kitchen in Walthamstow was an absolute blast! We got invited there, and it was an amazing ride of flavours and good times."
  • "You know a restaurant is good when you've thoroughly enjoyed the food and you can take any leftovers for home πŸ˜‹ Finally got to visit the Rhythm Kitchen and it did not disappoint. Absolutely loved the saltfish fritters, the rum punch and the coleslaw; the braised oxtail was also delish."
  • "Been twice in a month and will be back again soon. First was with my old cycling buddies, then I took my daughter whilst she was on break from Uni. The food speaks for itself and the friendly staff have laugh with you too."
  • "The food was very poor, I had it as a take away but threw it away! The macaroni & cheese was Β£7, such a tiny portion and dry. Over baked till burnt and never tasted fresh. The curry mutton roti was full of salt."

Cons:

  • "The savoury treats were very tasty but felt all a bit oily. The scones, cakes and dessert cups were nice but all very sweet."
  • "The food was very poor, I had it as a take away but threw it away! The macaroni & cheese was Β£7, such a tiny portion and dry. Over baked till burnt and never tasted fresh. The curry mutton roti was full of salt."
  • "BBQ honey wings were really hard, possibly reheated. The oxtail wasn't too tasty, I've had way better."
  • "If I had to criticise I’d say I would have loved raisins in the scones and I would’ve liked some strawberry Jam (they only had guava and another which were tasty, but strawberry jam is great on scones)."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "One of my fave places for jerk chicken and salt fish fritters. My friend got the chana vegan curry which she loved! Their portions are quite big, I had some left over for tomorrow’s lunch."
  • "Enjoyed the authentic tasting Caribbean food. Had jerk chicken, rice and peas, coleslaw and fried plantains. Generous portions. Nevertheless, the final bill was reasonably priced. Would return."
  • "Great food, generous portions and very good value. Service was really fine and Leah and Angela helped make the mid-afternoon dining experience quite special for my 'group of three'."

Cons:

  • "The food was very poor, I had it as a take away but threw it away! The macaroni & cheese was Β£7, such a tiny portion and dry. Over baked till burnt and never tasted fresh."
  • "Absolutely rubbish service. Boyfriend ordered online through deliveroo and rice and peas was missing. He phoned up the restaurant and was told the problem is because of the driver so therefore he should contact deliveroo."
  • "Sorry I have say my experience was not good On 10/7/2020 at 15:09. The Restaurant was empty and we ordered a take away inside the shop. After we left the shop and returned to the car (a 10 min walk away), we discovered several items was missing."
