Staff and Service
Pros:
"All the staff were lovely, had a great sense of humour (much needed!) and really invested in everybody having a good time."
"The staff was very friendly, we got an excellent safety briefing from Sandy."
"All the employees were friendly, helpful and patient."
"The staff are super friendly and helpful."
"Staff were very good - polite, helpful, friendly and knew what they were doing."
"The staff at go ape Battersea were exemplary."
"Everyone there was honestly so friendly and helpful."
Cons:
"The guy at the end in the hut who took our harnesses seemed a bit miserable and wouldn’t let me use the toilet at Go Ape."
"Also some staff either came across as not wanting to be there or just super exhausted."
"No one was willing to help my son one man was very abrupt, rude and not helpful and seemed like he didn’t have the patience and didn’t want to be there!"
"Staff are impatient and extremely disrespectful."
"Unfortunately we found the staff very abrupt and rude in the cafe."
"One of the staff members in a navy t-shirt seemed to be a bit negative with the kids."
"Some staff got a little bit rude at the end (during closing time)."
Facilities and Activities
Pros:
"There's a nice view, a mini golf course, a cafe and everything you'd need for a great day out."
"All the safety equipment was well maintained and easy to use."
"Varying challenging courses meant there was a level for everyone in our group."
"It's right next to a mini golfing course and a large playground so you can really make the day of it."
"Very fun course with different difficulty levels."
"There is a good variety of bridges to cross, some harder than others, all on top beautiful tall trees that overlook Battersea park."
"A good mix of tree rope courses and zip lines."
Cons:
"The toilets were awful! Hadn't been cleaned properly in weeks looking at them."
"The bars to choose level of difficulty wasn't obvious, sometimes difficult to change."
"Also the bathrooms need toilet paper! And they were a bit gross."
"The bathrooms are a disgrace! A true true disgrace!"
"Also note, toilets not great, not enough for volume of customers, smelly, and no mirrors."
"The toilet facilities were very run down."
"Toilets were occupied with a long queue, which is an issue when going with young children."
Booking and Organization
Pros:
"Reserve well in advance online if you dont want to get disappointed. Must visit."
"High ropes adventure in the tree-tops. Worth booking online as it is often booked out. Good day out (4 stars due to price!)."
"Taken my kids here before and they enjoyed it but avoid weekends. Hideously over-booked!"
Cons:
"We had the most disappointing day, I booked my daughters 8th birthday and paid for 24 kids... All they care about is how many people they can push through the system."
"Don’t take on kids parties with no flexibility! For an entertainment industry you failed in every way!"
"The course was overbooked and far too busy at times."
"The only issue we had on the day was that on the last level there was a massive delay and people were waiting endlessly."
"The site had clearly been over-booked and the delays really spoilt our plans and our day."
"It took us one hour to get here with 3 small kids. We learnt that the place is fully booked for the entire day."
"After seeing an advertisement for room rentals for kid's birthday parties for £30 an hour, I phoned to book a place. It turns out that Battersea Go Ape is £100+ per hour, and that's just for the room per hour! Nothing else."
Experience and Enjoyment
Pros:
"Great fun and adventure that parents can enjoy with their kids right in Battersea Park."
"Fantastic trip and experience! Highly recommend it! Will be back soon for sure!"
"Awesome experience on the Treetop Challenge at Go Ape Battersea!"
"It was great. Not as scary as it looks and lot safer than expected."
"A great experience - although a very tiring one."
"The experience was incredible."
"This was the best experience ever!"
Cons:
"Problem is, it's not supervised and when there are too many small children ahead, the waiting time in between the challenges is too much."
"The course itself was designed for youngsters (6-12) so it felt a bit awkward navigating my way through as an adult."
"The course was so busy we were literally standing on platforms for 15-20 minutes at a time."
"Because of people in front of us we had to wait a lot on the platforms, which extended our stay there for at least an hour."
"Only downside is if you are behind someone who gets really scared and a member of staff has to come along and rescue them."
"The climbing facilities wasn’t so great for older kids but very good for the younger kids."
"I was sooo looking forward to this sundown with all the lights for sons birthday but it was terrible."
