Security

Pros:

  • "Most of all this night one guy was looking at us in a super creepy way and just wouldn’t move his eyes from us and just staying close and being intimidating looking at my friend and I (two girls dancing) and I told security and they escorted him out immediately!"
  • "The amazing security guard (I wish I knew your name) went so far above and beyond to make sure my friend was safe."
  • "The security at the door pats you down maybe a little too much but there are excellent at kicking people out who are been inappropriate."

Cons:

  • "The customer was a regular so we get kicked out."
  • "The male security in this place is misogynistic and aggressive."
  • "Horrendously rude staff who made my friend cry on her cousin's birthday night out."
  • "The security of this place is very racist and rude."
  • "Awful, Awful AWFUL security, i’ve seen in other reviews that this staff member has been pulled up for his disgraceful behaviour several times before."

  • "Bouncers are extremely aggressive and grabbed me and my friend."

Price

Pros:

  • "Drinks deal on several nights (Monday to Thursday I believe) means several drinks cost only £2.50 eg pint of magners or bud light, small glass of wine and single mixer: can’t say fairer than that!"
  • "Beer is cheapest in the area."
  • "Furthermore, they also have the happy day, beer for just 1 pound!!!"
  • "Prices are unbeatable too!"

Cons:

  • "I got five shots of Sambuca and was charged £20! I could have got a bottle for much less."
  • "The drinks are expensive but where in London do you find a cheap drink."
  • "What I cannot abide were the prices, easily about a 15% premium above the local area."

Atmosphere

Pros:

  • "Good atmosphere if you like cheesy pop and camp music which I do so I always enjoy when I go."
  • "Nice bar. It's been there for years. 2 floors + 1 room in the basement."
  • "Bit of a different experience with social distancing in place. Had a fun evening though. Staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. Tables are in little social bubbles. Still a great atmosphere and enjoyable evening. Would recommend."
  • "The vibes and the atmosphere is amazing, no hate, just fun."
  • "It is a great place to go for a night out with friends, and is also a popular spot for tourists."
  • "This is the best place in London to go hang with friends, as it is the friendliest establishment for lesbians, gays, but also fun for straight, due to the ambience!"
  • "Very nice place to spend time, especially before 10pm as then it gets a bit too busy Fridays and Saturdays. Music is cool 🤙 people are relaxed 😎 employees are fab 😊 prices are very reasonable depending on the day of the week."

Cons:

  • "For an inclusive place it is a very xenophobic place!"
  • "The music is often very clichéd and can be a bit depressing."
  • "Very discriminating place."
  • "Discrimination is the right word to definitely describe they way to accept people."
  • "Outraged and disgusted by door staff."
  • "This place used to be the gem of Soho. Now it's a joke. The door staff think they're more important than they are and need educating. They're prejudice and make rules up as they go along."
  • "AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE NOT EVEN WORTH WALKING TO, TO CHECK OUT. Disgusting bouncers, terrible attitudes."
