Taste of Food

Pros:

  • "The food is incredibly tasty." - "Delicious comfort food with fresh components and perfect seasoning."
  • "This is honestly the best takeaway I’ve ever had both in Bristol or Birmingham."
  • "Their crispy prawns are DELISH."
  • "Great noodles and chicken."
  • "The noodles doesn’t taste nice their is literly no flavour in the noodles it’s just the chips that was tasty and the chicken."
  • "Food was tasteless and bland. We did add our own soy sauce to add flavour."
  • "The noodles were bland, the rice was either painfully spicy or tasteless and the chicken tasted weird."

Cons:

  • "I ordered the spicy food which I would not recommend unless you have an iron stomach."
  • "The sweet and sour chicken and spicy chips were quite nice though."
  • "The chips we soggy and cold."
  • "The spring rolls were the size of my pinky finger."
  • "The wings were dry even though there was sauce on there so I’m presuming they were cooked to hell."
  • "I wish there was a 0 rating my first time ordering from here and omg I’m shocked at the fact that I’ve spent nearly £25 for such below average food."
  • "If I had the option to this these 0 stars then I most definitely would."
  • "The portion sizes are great and some of their dishes are somewhat decent, but I wouldn’t say tasty."
  • "The noodles and rice dishes was like a 5/10, they didn’t taste nice but they didn’t taste bad."

Service

Pros:

  • "Really attentive bought the food to us checked to see if everything was OK."
  • "I got wrong order delivered by Oodles today, but the minute I called them told them about it, they gave me the new meals and 5 spring rolls on the house."
  • "Great value and generous portions with helpful staff."
  • "The customer service was good, but food wasn't."
  • "The food always comes on time or early."
  • "They were also helpful on the phone."
  • "Excellent service and the food portions are so much bigger than i expected lol."

Cons:

  • "The guy completely forgot my order of fortune cookies. Had to remind him."
  • "Despite ordering rice, I was given noodles instead."
  • "I ordered the buy one get one free the spring rolls tell me why only one portion came??"
  • "When they get it right the food is very good, however it’s hit and miss mostly of the time."
  • "I had 2 bites and the rest went in the bin."
  • "I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with teriyaki chicken and chilli chips of course with ood noodles. Worst food ever sweet & sour chicken was just red colouring no taste just diced chicken."
  • "Food is decent, seems pricey for the amount you get."
  • "The foods got some flavour, can be very spicy for those that can't handle the heat especially if you've chosen the wrong one."
  • "Service element is poor, got the person taking orders over the phone and taking orders in the restaurant at the same time and this was when it was quiet so a 1☆.... not a very welcoming environment when it comes to dining in, no access to toilets, the plus side is you've got access to cleaning/ disinfectant for your tables so I got to do a good job of cleaning our table as it was dirty when we sat down... 3 out of the 5 were dirty..."
  • "Ordered from here via Uber Eats as we had a voucher. No issues with ordering or delivery, and it arrived in no time at all. However the food isn't worth the money you pay. A "medium box" is £8" and probably about four inches square. My fiancé and I both had salt and pepper chicken as one of the toppings and it was like no salt and pepper chicken I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot). The vegetable noodles were bland and the Singapore rice was spicy with no discernable flavour. The best thing we had were the spicy chips which were actually delicious. In any case we had a £10 off voucher and still felt like what we had wasn't worth the money. If I'd paid full price I would have felt totally ripped off."

Portion Size and Price

Pros:

  • "£8 for a large box. And boy it's large you get A LOT."
  • "Great value and generous portions with helpful staff."
  • "Good value and a wide selection of dishes to choose from."
  • "Always consistent, tastes good, and generous portions."
  • "Can easily split a large portion between two people."
  • "They offer slightly cheaper prices at lunch time for better value."
  • "I would recommend it if you fancy a change from burgers."
  • "If you are not a fan of the noodles or rice, I would always go for double spicy chips as sides."
  • "The big box is the same size as the average plastic container not separate."

Cons:

  • "I ordered the buy one get one free the spring rolls tell me why only one portion came??"
  • "The spring rolls were the size of my pinky finger."
  • "The wings were dry even though there was sauce on there so I’m presuming they were cooked to hell."
