Animal Encounters
Pros:
"Loved the walk through with the lemurs, wallabies and red squirrel."
"All of the animals are so well kept and great to be able to be so close to some of them and have a hands-on experience."
"Can walk with the lemurs, wallabies and goats and stroke them all."
"Especially loved the wallabies who you can hand feed."
"The keepers are very knowledgeable and love answering questions. The animals seem very pampered and loved by all the keepers."
"You can get up close with all the animals & even feed some of them."
"You can feed and pet wallabies, pet goats, giant rabbits, walk amongst red squirrels and lemurs."
Cons:
"There weren't always enough keepers around in the walkthroughs stopping adults and kids venturing from the path and harassing the animals."
"Feeding the wallabies wasn’t very easy because they weren’t that hungry (and the food was extortionate: £2 for a tiny bag of about 15 pony nuts!)."
"However, there were a few enclosures where we saw no creatures at all. The Red Squirrels for example so they were obviously hiding somewhere!"
"Bit confusing in the walk in enclosures as if the animals come up to u you can't help but stroke them and I was told off!"
"I do think they could do with a few more staff in these areas as there's a lot of people that were not listening to stay off the grass."
"Red squirrel area had a young keeper in there who could've pointed out where the squirrels were but didn't so we didn't see any."
"The penguins weren’t keen on participating in the talk."
Staff and Service
Pros:
"All keepers are helpful and passionate about their animals."
"All the staff we met were helpful, polite and informative."
"The staff were so lovely and had knowledge of all of the animals."
"Great staff, great animals, great experience!"
"The staff at Peak Wildlife Park were exceptional."
"The staff are friendly and happy to answer questions about the animals."
"The staff are friendly and informative, offering insights into the lives and conservation of the animals."
Cons:
"Sadly we couldn't hear anything the keeper was saying, but I just liked watching them play in the water."
"Staff need some training for animal care."
"The service was extremely slow the young lad of till needed help."
"There was also an unsavoury odour coming from the back of food court which was off putting if you were eating around there."
"Thease struggled with the amount of people and the queue was ridiculous you missed out on us buying food and drink as it just wasn't worth the wait."
"The bouncy castle was really hectic, with no one keeping a check on behaviour. It was far too rough for my 3 year old and even my 8 year old ended up being pushed over at one point."
"Only complaint I would have from last visit is we waited 30 mins in a queue for a hot chocolate...not ideal when you have young kids."
Facilities and Accessibility
Pros:
"Fantastic wildlife park, brilliant for all ages and very accessible for all."
"Wheelchair users are well catered for with pretty much all areas accessible to them."
"It has a good suitable layout for people with a variety of disabilities."
"Clean and well maintained park. Wheelchair friendly lots off on site parking friendly helpful staff."
"The whole of the park was accessible using this with viewing windows for most of the animals set at appropriate heights for mobility/wheelchair users."
"Accessible for pushchairs and wheelchair users with a variety of viewing platforms to get up close to the beautiful animals."
"Nice and accessible for those needing walking aids/wheelchairs."
Cons:
"The old play area is closed, so maybe that will get a refurbishment more suitable to younger visitors."
"One other minor gripe was when we arrived the main car park was full there was no signage to tell you this as you drove in."
"Parking was a bit tight and not sure why we had to book a specific time as we arrived earlier than our time but got in with no comments from staff."
"The slides for the younger children had been closed for maintenance during school holidays!! My 5yr old autistic granddaughter was so very upset as she is obsessed with slides."
"Paths could be better for disabled."
"One gripe.....the white lines in the car park were hard to see, they could do with a repaint."
"The one way system was a waste of time as no one payed any attention to it and it was poorly marked."

"It's a reasonable priced great day out. You won't be disappointed."
"Tickets are a little cheaper online."
Cons:
"It was a nice afternoon out though a little on the pricey side for what is here to see."
"The only negatives are the increasing membership costs, £2.50 for a can of coke, £8 for a hot dog… it’s a shame they aren’t more family-friendly when it comes to food and drink."
"Kids play area needs to be bigger and the selection of food wasn't the best along with the price of the pizza,s and drinks ££££."
"Everything is a bit pricey, including the entrance tickets. Ended up spending about 100 quids for a family of 4."
"Two bottles of water from the gift shop cost us £7.90!"
"Very expensive gift shop, (not pocket money toys, spent £48 on three small plushies)."
