"Lovely views of Gloucester and areas to explore, meadows, woodland, streams."
"There are dozens of different routes to the beacon on top of the hill."
"Nice wildlife sculpture trail around the bottom but lots of different trails, includes ones which aren't signed."
"Brilliant place with loads of paths of different lengths and difficulty."
Cons:
"It was quite muddy there and could do with handrails of some sort for support, especially when coming down."
"Always muddy and slippy if it has rained in the past week, so boots essential."
"The surface was very slippery, which was particularly challenging going on way down."
"The trails are not clear and we went up a hill which led to a flat area with at least a 50ft drop."
"Signs are a bit patchy so sometimes hard to know where you are."
"The path down was very steep and slippery with mud."
"Be aware if doing the geology trail the paths are really quite muddy and very steep at places."
Park Facilities
Pros:
"Free car parking."
"Play park at bottom of hill in front of car park for children."
"Lovely cafe with lots to choose from."
"Good toilet facilities, clean, soap, hot water and hand drying."
"Free to use freestanding BBQs where available also lots of BBQ stands on the end of many benches so you can bring your own!"
"Cafe has now reopened and has good choice."
"Free parking, cafe and children's playground on site."
Cons:
"Bring back the lovely old cafe and staff though. The new staff are beyond rude."
"Car park was full, not helped by fact many people parked their cars in a middle of what could easily be two car space."
"The park is clean, tidy and no play area for kids."
"The children's play area is quite small and ill equipped, there's not a lot to keep children occupied for long."
"A small cafe that seems to open and close at random times."
"The children play area could be bigger."
"Lovely place but the new cafe is extremely overpriced. A family wouldn't be able to afford to eat here."
General Experience
Pros:
"Great time with the 3 grandchildren, we all had a lovely time."
"If you haven't been or haven't been recently it's definitely a cheap activity for all the family, dog walkers, horse riders, hikers and beauty spot for viewers!"

"A breath of fresh air in the midst of the hustle bustle of the city!"
"A fantastic family day out!"
Cons:
"One let their dog put its front paws on the food counter and thought that was OK, idiot!!!!"
"Only thing missing was some indoor sitting areas for when it rains."
"In our case it was also foggy so we were unable to see anything when we got there."
"Only negative.....so much dog poo around!!!!! Too much. Def wouldn't come for a picnic here with children!!!"
"Sadly some people are happy to dump rubbish there which spoils it slightly."
"Need to sort out the wheelchair accessible parking, but otherwise great."
"Also parking can be a struggle as when it's busy it can be hard to tell what's a parking space and what's just nearby landscape."
