  • "It has toilet facilities and in the summer there is an Ice cream van as well as the cafe and other things."
  • "There's also a very cool adventure park/climbing frames PLUS a little nature trail with info boards (good for toddlers)."
  • "Plenty of toilets. Cafè, and ice cream parlours around the site."
  • "Great outdoor place for all ages. There is a play area for children, area for picnics and bbq, toilets are also available."

Cons:

  • "The cafe at the visitors centre is no where near adequate for somewhere so busy, especially as they only have one person serving."
  • "The kiosk cafe was closed, so we're the toilets there despite them displaying opening times that day."
  • "Cafe is closed at moment for refurbishment."
  • "The food was subpar and the atmosphere was terrible as we were constantly swarmed by wasps."
  • "From the food vans it wasnt clear where the entrance to the trial was."
  • "Disappointed with cafe in the park. Very quiet but no staff on duty."
  • "Really nice grounds with pleasant walks. Let down though by no catering venues being open."

Parking

Pros:

  • "Massive car park, which was free for the event."
  • "Parking charges apply at reasonable rates, cash or cashless options."
  • "Parking is reasonable at £5 for the full day and less if you visit for less than 4 hours."
  • "Wheelchair accessible parking."
  • "Loads of parking spaces with reasonable parking fees."
  • "Parking is very cheap."
  • "Parking is really cheap too, only cost us £3.50 for about 4 hours."

Cons:

  • "Visited today to be told on driving in it's £5 when parking in the overflow car park regardless of how long your staying."
  • "The new car park ticket machine is card only."
  • "Parking is a bit of a joke... having to queue in the shop because the machines are broken."
  • "Found car park machines closed so then had to walk to pay as I couldn’t risk a fine."
  • "Parking your car can be an issue."
  • "The car park despite being barrier controlled seems to have no idea the car park is full and continues to let cars in causing mayhem."
  • "Parking charges crazy. I arrived 10 mins before my friend and had to pay £3 for my 1hr 10, my friend only £1 for his 1hr 2."

Natural Beauty and Activities

Pros:

  • "A gorgeous country park not too far from the hustle and bustle of Coventry city centre."
  • "Beautiful, clean space with a number of different walks."
  • "Stunning views can be found all round the estate whilst walking in the stunning, leafy pathways."
  • "Beautiful place to lose yourself in, great for the kids and plenty to do, picnics, Go Ape, bouncy castle and merry go round, great for the dogs too."
  • "If you enjoy nature, walks and want to view natural beauty then this place is definitely worth a visit."
  • "Lovely relaxing place to visit, we strolled around the gardens and people were feeding the ducks and geese on the lake."
  • "The grounds were beautiful and full of ducks, swans, geese, pigeons, herons, egrets and squirrels."

Cons:

  • "Go ape was too expensive for 3 kids."
  • "Lovely grounds unfortunately spoiled in places by the dirty members of the public who think the staff and volunteers that work there have nothing better to do than clean up after them."
  • "A nice walk in the park can turn into a nightmare. Greedy and incompetent management and staff ruined the park."
  • "Lovely to walk around most of it but in my opinion its being destroyed by the go ape park they are setting up in it."
  • "Loads of stuff to do for a family day out... If your wallet's big enough. Go ape arriving has spoiled a lovely area of the park."
  • "The new Go Ape site is looking good but you can see the visible impact it's had on the surrounding woodland."
  • "Lovely country park. Probably the best place to visit in North Coventry. Unfortunately, during summer, the BBQ areas are plagued by cretins playing loud music, burning the grass with disposable BBQs, and leaving rubbish everywhere."
