Staff and Service
Pros:
"Staff were very welcoming and enthusiastic, and we all had a great time playing the dream."
"Really great team working here all very friendly and full of energy for what they do."
"Staff really get involved in this one too."
"The staff member who ran out games (Jack and Matthew) were both friendly, welcoming and very helpful when we needed it!"
"Laura was our game operator and she was really nice, funny and helpful."
"The guy that was our guide had a brilliant sense of humour, was amazing with giving us a few clues here and there and made the whole experience 10 times better."
"Staff were great! Georgia was our host and she was really helpful!"
Cons:
"Our host was also very unenthusiastic through the whole game."
"When we walked in the staff member was very pushy and made us feel as tho he was trying to get rid of us at the earliest opportunity."
"The hosting was poor no much welcome, no one explained the purpose of the room, no enthusiasm shown no explanation of how to get help no story."
"i had a bad experience with this escape room, my dad booked this for my birthday and we got kicked out the room after only 40 mins of playing, i wont be returning."
"No clues were provided - rather the solution when we asked for a clue which completely breaks immersiveness."
"If we completed certain puzzles, it also took time for our host to switch the trigger which left us questioning whether we’d done the puzzle correctly."
"It doesn't make me want to come back. I'll go somewhere that values their customers."
Game and Puzzle Design
Pros:
"The game itself was enjoyable with good narrative which leads to an immersive experience."
"These games are really well thought out, and to be fair have a fantastic design team."
"The room types are varied, from more practical to more logic based puzzle solving, so there's something for everyone."
"The rooms have a good variety of puzzles to solve and have high production values."
"Inevative puzzles and well designed emersive rooms."
"The Prison escape room was probably one of the best I've ever done, with really practical puzzles."
"The clues all made sense and there was lots of versatile challenges so no repetition."
Cons:
"The value for money is diminishing the larger the game gets."
"It’s quite dark within the game which means that it can be a struggle to see when you’re solving clues."
"One small snag our torches kept going on and off which was frustrating at first in the dark."
"The room looked a bit cheaper than other rooms we've been to."
"We solved quite a lot of cues in the first 15 minutes or so but were then stuck for about half an hour, we asked for some clues after a while but didn't get any."
"Only criticism would have been we spent the last 10 minutes trying a key in multiple locks only to fail...when the guide came in to show us how it was done, she then put the key in one of the locks and struggled with it for about a minute before it finally opened- we had tried this one numerous times in the last 10 mins but it didn't work due to the fact it was jammed."
"Only constructive feedback is that it is not very accessible, I understand it can be difficult to create an accessible room, but it would be worth a try."
Value and Experience
Pros:
"We just escaped prison. What an experience. Grandkids loved it. Well worth a visit."
"A wonderful experience for the whole family - escaping a prison has never been so much fun."
"You can tell they really thought through the rooms as they are definitely the best escape rooms in Manchester."
"Been here several times and enjoy their games. Been able to escape them all but they are all sufficiently different that it is never obvious what needs to be done."
"We've done two escape rooms here, and both have been great!"
"The thematic elements and clue system were top-notch, and the minimal use of code locks was a refreshing touch."
"All my 5 belong to this. Excellent physical escape room using your hands and your brain."
Cons:
"It was difficult so wouldn’t recommend this particular theme for your first visit, if you are not the best at problem solving or don’t have others in your group who are."
"The reason why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is for the cleanliness of the bathroom."
"Accidentally made the wrong booking and they were charging me nearly half of the price again to move it."
"Disappointing unfortunately so won't be coming back."
"Incredibly hard to find which made us around 10 minutes late."
"Would make aware anyone with asthma or COPD, dust allergies etc to wear a mask as I suffered for a few days after."
"I think what annoys me the most is the cost. £50 for 2 people to do a room or £120 for a group of 6."
