Food Quality and Taste

Pros:

  • "The food was absolutely mouth wateringly delicious, fresh off the grill from the chicken to the lamb, very succulent and falling off the bone."
  • "The meat is always tender and flavoursome. The salad is fresh, with a wide variety to choose from and everything is marinated very well."
  • "Best kebab ive ever eaten salad and chips which were kinda Cajun spiced were just phenomenal."
  • "Food was amazing and tasteful. Ordered Mixed grill, falafel, hummus and Shawarma chips. Meat was nice, juicy and tender."
  • "By far the best Palestinian food I've eaten in the UK."
  • "The lamb shank could use more seasoning. As well as this, the compact space makes it quite difficult for families to enjoy the food comfortably!"
  • "For someone who isn't fond of Palestinian cuisine, this place was surprisingly good. My family who like it more, absolutely loved this restaurant."
  • "Al quds was highly recommended by our friends so we thought we would give it a try and OMG the food was of the finest quality."

Cons:

  • "There is a lack of consistency for the food here! Have ate a few times I think if you use them during off peak the quality is better!"
  • "Tried the arayes bread wasn’t impressed lacked seasoning. They also smothered it with some random pomegranate syrup."
  • "The lamb shank did not seem like it was cooked fresh at all. It was just the shank with some rice cost £17.50."
  • "Horrible food no flavours at all.me and my wife first time eating this arabic food but I wish I can give it to them 0 star."
  • "The food is not fresh I ordered the rice and chicken I saw my own eyes the rice is cooked on microwave I can taste like they cooked three days a go."
  • "Ordered food for collection and could not have been more disappointed. The only good thing was the chips. The salad was definitely a few days old."
  • "The food was enjoyable however it can be presented better in a more appetising way, for example fresh lemon sliced."
  • "Ordered Mixed grill for two, might aswell have been for one, as it was missing the lamb chops, chicken wings and chicken shawarma."

Service and Staff

Pros:

  • "The staff and overall customer service is absolutely brilliant and the team always gives a warm welcome with the very best hospitality."
  • "The staff are very friendly and the service was very quick."
  • "I would like to give a special thanks to the team at Al Quds: Mohammed, both Majed’s (Syrian & Palestinian), Omar, Michael, Ahmed, Figo and so forth."
  • "Very kind staff members and service which was provided was excellent. The sauces were a lot nicer compared to other shops."

Cons:

  • "Service wise I’ve only done take out so just pay them and leave ( they only accept cash payments)"
  • "Staff where nice but a bit busy behind counter, so customer service was non existent."
  • "The customer service is very bad especially the guy Ethiopian he’s very rude and ignorant he need to go back to school and learn customer service skills."
  • "These guys took 2 hours for my order. They didn’t even have any customers!!! And when I asked for the refund, they gave it. Very rude staff. Would not recommend."

Ambiance and Seating

Pros:

  • "The restaurant decor has a great ambience to it. It really captures the beautiful areas of Palestine with the art / decor / lighting."
  • "The interior & decor is very nice BUT this place is not for families!!! The seating area is so small!"
  • "We had the shish taouk, the chicken was very tasty. Didn't like the sauce on the rice, but that's just personal preference. Seating is limited."
  • "Place used to be decent until recently. I waited 40 mins for one Shawarma! - 40mins, and the cashier didn't even apologise. Absolute joke."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately the restaurant is small, and for a large group (about 12 of us), it's not suitable, we managed to find enough space but it was squeezed in."
  • "This place is definitely a hidden gem. My husband and I come here at least once a week and love it every time. The food is always great, the place is clean and the staff is friendly."
  • "I would say it's more of a takeaway than a restaurant. Limited seating and no table service."
  • "Small busy place. Not much seating area and the location is not good. However, the food is on point and you wouldn't expect delicious mouth watering flavours of the Mediterranean / Middle East from the outlook."
