Cost and Pricing

Pros:

Cons:

  • "They pretend that it's for hygiene reasons, but really it's to further subsidise all the 30s and under they admit for £12."
  • "Paying extra for a cabin at a sauna is akin to paying extra for a plate to eat your meal on at a restaurant!"
  • "They charge 20 pounds to get in and then you must pay an additional 4 pounds for a small cabin."

Policy and Management

Pros:

Cons:

  • "The Pleasuredrome have this crazy policy where if you book a room they want your locker key."
  • "You have the option to pay for the private cubicles for a couple of hours but it’s not very practical."
  • "This policy is totally absurd and totally defeats the reason most people go to a sauna."
  • "There is no cubicle available where you can go with someone to have a bit of fun."

Atmosphere and Clientele

Pros:

  • "It's a big venue and has attracted a great crowd since reopening."
  • "The atmosphere was relaxed and respectful and there was a fair mix of guys."

Cons:

  • "The place generally seems to attract a lot of older unfit guys."
  • "The whole place is too harshly lit, and the obvious CCTV all over is discouraging."
  • "The loungers by the Jacuzzi were a good thought out idea, however hard and not practical if you want to lay on your front."

  • "I sent an email asking about the details of what facilities are available as it's unclear due to lockdown restrictions - no one responded."

Cleanliness and Hygiene

Pros:

  • "The place is kept very clean and tidy."

Cons:

  • "In terms of hygiene, they are far behind."
  • "Bins were overflowing and some of the private cabins were filthy."
  • "Toilets regularly blocked and in a state."

Security and Safety

Pros:

Cons:

  • "The locker keys are not secure, and there are no CCTV cameras in that particular area, so theft is a big concern."
  • "While they have so much CCTV, they can’t even guarantee your belongings will be safe."
