Atmosphere and Setting
Pros:
"Great spot in town with a variety of craft beers and cocktails."
"Spacious with plenty of seating, a pool table and a couple rooms to choose from."
"Festive looking interior really complimented the name 'The Bridge Tap'."
"The Bridge Tap, on The Cask Marque Ale Trail, in a picturesque setting by the Bridge in Salisbury, was unusually quiet on this sunny lunch time."
"Great atmosphere for a quick brunch or maybe English breakfast and yeah absolutely drinks π."
"Well situated along one of the main roads through the city, this lovely establishment provided just what we were looking for."
"Great atmosphere and space."
"A large bar with a relaxed atmosphere, trendy but comfortable without making their customers sit on beer barrels and metal chairs."
Cons:
"It is very loud and busy though which doesn't make it the ideal spot to stop for a drink to chat with mates."
"Sign on the A board outside offered food and a drink from Β£6.95, once inside the plethora of sticky dirty menus state from Β£7.50."
"The first table we went to sit at had left over food on the seat of one of the chairs and the table was unstable and rocked, we moved to a second table this one had the table number missing and more greasy dirty menus."
"A good riverside pub, seating outside and plenty of space inside... Staff were moving around inside but no-one paid any attention to the door."
"Not a great experience, run out of lots of food, service was fairly poor, only redeeming factor was having had our starters, they then sent out duplicate starters with the main courses, girls enjoyed their cocktails."
"Good range of beers but miserable and slow service, glasses/bottles being smashed on a regular basis during my visit."
"Nice-ish pub, but food is way overpriced for what you get."
"Went there for a drink with friends on Saturday evening before going to a restaurant for a meal, we are from an older generation and the music was incredibly loud we had to shout to hear each other, also the table was very sticky."
Service and Staff
Pros:
"The bartenders were friendly."
"We were served by Summer and everything was great."
"Popped in with friends for a bottomless brunch. Our waitress summer was amazing!!"
"Really solid range of beers available, and sports shown live on telly's but they do unfortunately lack audio. Staff were very friendly though which is always lovely!"
"Issy has been fabulous. Not only was she a lovely girl but her outfit was amazing."
"Every time I'm in Salisbury, I visit this pub, great staff, good food, nice prices, and a happy atmosphere."
"I had Elliott serving us at bottomless brunch today! Honestly the most amazing waiter."
"Izzy was so lovely she was the highlight of our day, couldnβt ask for a better server she smiled she was polite and she even had a laugh was us!"
Cons:
"Absolutely terrible service. We booked a table, ordered food for 6 people. The bar staff failed to put through one of the meals, so mine didnβt show up."
"Rude staff. Terrible place. The manager inflicted criminal damage and we will be reporting this to the police."
"Disappointed, sadly. We visited and both had one of the burgers... the burger looked and tasted poor quality."
"Sorry bridge tap but tonight was awful, food stayed on our table to go off and smell."
"There were no tolerance on closure time vs. ending up last orders of drinks. Staff didn't tell anything about last orders and strict closure timing."
"I booked a table here, and received a confirmation email. I then received an email cancelling my booking the night before we were supposed to visit."
"Tried here after shortage of food in the witherspoon across the road. Sticky floor at the bar, but staff super friendly and welcoming."
"Ordered food and drinks and there was an issue with pretty much every order."
Food and Drinks
Pros:
"Really nice food, great beer and lovely staff."
"Good pub food, great service from Summer and good value for money."
"Food was great and cocktails were flowing."
"Perfect spot to have a meal and a drink before visiting the Stones on the hill."
"Issy was fantastic, always checking if we needed drinks. The food cook by Tally was great, plenty of tasty food and plenty of it."
"Had a fab bottomless brunch at the Bridge Tap Salisbury. Scrummy food, delicious cocktails and fab service."
"Great food, great friendly service. All around 5 stars."
"Food banging, drinks were good and the atmosphere was excellent, had sports on in the background and itβs all sublime."
Cons:
"I had a horrible experience here, myself and some friends and family went here to celebrate a birthday. We ordered food and drinks and as for someone who suffers from a eating disorder such like being bulimic I had my moment in the toilet as I had already eaten earlier that day, as I left the toilets I was approached by one of the door staff to which I was told to leave."
"Absolutely terrible establishment with rude staff making an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience for customers."
"Naff cold food that took ages to come. Chilli nachos came missing the chilli."
"Initially the aesthetic of the venue looked great and I liked the sports bar features but overall the visit was underwhelming. Ordered cocktails which where 2 for 1 but I would have been even more disappointed if I had paid the full price as they where rubbish."
"Possibly one of the worst experiences of my life. Went here for bottomless brunch on the weekend and it was absolutely awful."
"Food was horribly bland, the order was incorrect and late by an hour, the online app didn't go through to their system, and we were almost late to our train as a result."
"Nice pint, very poor food. They have a reasonable selection of ales which were of a good standard. The lady in our group enjoyed the cocktails. The food was very poor and most definitely a ding ding reheated, prepackaged selection of poor quality ingredients."
"The service and food was appalling. The initial member of staff that served us was very friendly, double checked our order and I can't fault him. There were no children's menus available at all, they couldn't find any anywhere."
