Seal Watching Experience
Pros:
"We saw somewhere in the region of 100 seals as well as countless coastal birds such as oystercatchers and terns."
"Very enjoyable boat trip. You might not see seals every time on shore but worse case scenario you will see some head in the water!"
"These guys were amazing so friendly and funny gave us so many interesting points as we went out to see the seals."
"What a fabulous trip this was. The boat was very clean and tidy."
"Really enjoyed our trip! Skipper and guide were great. Informative, friendly and just the right amount of humour."
"We got really close to the seals & their pups."
"The staff on the boat were very informative both about the wildlife and the history of Blakeney Point."
Cons:
"Also, prices have rocketed to £20 from £12.00!"
"Tried to book on several occasions but nobody answering the phone just a recorded message to phone back later."
"It takes about 25 minutes to get to the seals and there's not much to see on the way."
"Took £20 off each person on 3 boat’s full of people only to then say whilst we’re all on board about 2 minutes in that there are barely any seals around at this time."
"Shame about the 'cash only' policy, even when purchasing tickets from the office."
"I went with my two children expecting a quiet fun and educational trip to see the seals, instead we found ourselves involved in foul-mouthed arguments with other boat owners and paddle boarders who were also out enjoying the water."
"Disappointingly we did not see many seals, only a few basking on the sand, and we were unable to get very close to them."
Booking and Accessibility
Pros:
"Brilliant afternoon. Must phone and book and the times change because of the tide."
"Easy to book."
"Booking- Very easy timings are available on the website so just call and confirm the number of people, time and date."
"Book early not to be disappointed."
"Booked last minute on a Sunday morning, no issues. Organised. Friendly."
"There's a car park close to the landing stages and some toilets."
"There was plenty of parking and also toilets and a small place to buy drinks."
Cons:
"Booking is by phone only and it can take a while to get hold of the office."
"Great place to visit - lovely boat ride - the finding where to go to get your boat is very confusing - you have to buy your tickets miles away from where you pick up your boat."
"I rung and booked an appointment for these. I was told to be there for 11, it's cash on arrival only. I arrived at 10:50, no one was there."
"Cues can be very big for the boat, beans have 5 boats so you should get on one, best to check days before and book a slot."
"Payment is cash only and tickets need to be picked up in town and not at the quay."
"Not buggy friendly you will have to use a carrier."
"Some boats from other trip group had on the front of the boats an acrylic/plastic shelter... So Beans boat don't have it. We got wet!!"
Value for Money
Pros:
"It was well worth the money and couldn't fault any of the staff."
"Felt very safe the whole time and it was such good value for money we were very happy to put a tip in their tip pot."
"Not bad value for money."
"Worth every penny. Thank you for a great trip."
"Well worth the price. A pleasant hour long boat trip."
"Worth every penny to visit the seals - lots of companies doing this and they all seemed friendly bunch."
"£20 per person is fairly steep, but it was a nice trip, we saw the seals."
Cons:
"For the price of the trip, at least this should be happening!!"
"Parking is £4, cash only. (free for national trust members) trip was around 1 hour."
"Parking costs apply at the quay unless you are a National Trust member."
"Lots of seals bobbing up and down in the sea, parking a bit of a rip off..minimum charge of £2.00 and you only really want a free 20 minutes for seal spotting."
"The boat rocked so much from side to side that I really believed it was going to capsize!"
"Also, very importantly, we weren't given a life jacket to wear it. It was given only to children.!!"
"The boats are quite a design failure though: You are supposed to look outwards but all the seats are facing inwards."
Staff and Service
Pros:
"Felt safe and secure in the open boats that are used, that give excellent views of the wildlife."
"The staff on the boat were very polite and helpful and tell you about the Seals and the birds as you go around the coast."

"The crew were professional and informative and happy to answer questions."
"The people running the trip give good explanations and make sure everyone gets a good look and also the photos they seek to take."
"Both the skipper and his mate were friendly and had a terrific sense of humour."
"The staff were so experienced and helpful on the boats."
Cons:
"Overall if this disgusting woman is employed by this company I would recommend you avoid it entirely."
"Staff are rude, abusive and treated us horrifically."
"My wife did get barked at by the lady selling tickets but it didn't deter from the trip."
"The only reason I haven't given five stars is that we got sooo close to the seals I found it a bit to invasive for them."
"The guide on my second trip was far more informative and knowledgeable than the guide on the first."
"It's a little bit cramped and the seats are uncomfortable but it's bearable for an hour."
"The boats are pretty large and can take a maximum of 50 passengers."
