  • "The music was classic French chansons, but could have been a bit less sleepy at times."
  • "Not the place to go if you're sight impaired. It's only lit by candle light."
  • "Need lights over tables cannot read the menu or see what you are eating by candlelight."
  • "Accoustics needs to be better or turn the volume down."
  • "It does get warm in here so make sure you have layers you can take off."
  • "Little on the pricey side and the seating isn't the most comfortable."

Service

Pros:

  • "The staff worked as a finely tuned machine, you weren't being constantly bombarded with questions, but it was obvious your needs were being watched."

  • "The staff were really polite and the service was fantastic even though it was very busy."
  • "Staff were excellent, food really was amazing 😍, very relaxed atmosphere."
  • "Staff, as always did an amazing job."
  • "The staff are friendly and attentive."
  • "Service attentive without being intrusive."

Cons:

  • "It took 20 mins to attract the attention of the waiting staff by waving the credit card in the air."
  • "Staff were all lovely except Sharon the Maitre D' who was overbearing."
  • "She was patronising to us when we had questions, and at one point scolded one of the waiters right in front of us!"
  • "Waiting 20 minutes for a drink, many of the waiting staff very young and a little overwhelmed."
  • "Overpriced, bad service (had to wait 15 mins for starters and 25 mins for the main course after we had finished the starters)."
  • "After my recent visit in August I emailed the restaurant as left really disappointed by the service and despite my email I have had no response."
  • "Could have been so good but I am surprised that so many people like to pay so much for such dire service, and mediocre food."

Food

  • "The one creme brΓ»lΓ©e - this was supposed to be vanilla but was tasteless."
  • "The food was nice but not amazing."
  • "The only disappointment was the restrooms. They're a little tried and the bulbs around the mirrors kick off so much heat it is uncomfortably hot."
  • "I thought the beef wellington was slightly too salty so I had to request lemon wedges to neutralise it."
  • "Well to only have one gluten free desert option and one sorbet totally unacceptable."

Value

  • "They do a midweek early bird special of 3 courses and 1/2 a bottle of wine for about Β£32 and it’s genuinely a bargain at that price."
  • "The set menu was good value!"

Cons:

  • "It's not a cheap place, but it's definitely worth the price tag!"
  • "Food okay but very expensive for what is offered."
  • "Been here before a few years ago it was fantastic but we went last night the food wasn’t as good as before poached eggs where over cooked for my wife’s starter the main meals veal was tough and a bit overcooked and my ham hock was over seasoned too much pepper so not very good at all not sure if I would book again too many good restaurants to choose from in Leeds."
  • "The food will never be terrible here, it is always of a certain quality, so in general (compared to other restaurants) tonight it was 6/10, at these prices 4/10."
  • "Can't understand why people would pay over the odds for poor service, lack of desert options and average food."
  • "Worst of all for us it was rushed."
  • "Could have been so good but I am surprised that so many people like to pay so much for such dire service, and mediocre food."
