Playground

Pros:

  • "Nice place with good playground for kids and decent cafe."
  • "There is a large play fort with swings for smaller children, climbing net/frame to access the fort."
  • "A huge gated playground and lots of fun wooden equipment for kids."
  • "The children's play area is good but can get really crowded."
  • "Lots for the kids to do with a play fort as well as a number of smaller play areas dotted around."
  • "There is a playground with a big tube slide and a small tube slide, a lot of fun for the kids."
  • "Fantastic for kids as the play areas are very good and loads to play on."

Cons:

  • "The play area is nowhere near as fun as it used to be as they have removed anything suitable for older children 10+."
  • "Not so great for slightly older kids (9-10+) as the adventure equipment is more for the younger ones."
  • "The play area looks great however half of the main area is taped off, the toddler area is missing items which are replaced with traffic cones and there is only one swing."
  • "Main play area has a small kids section but currently it's all broken and taped off."
  • "The playground could do with some extension and improvement though, it's just too small and cramped for how busy it gets."
  • "Part of the main play park seems to have been broken and therefore closed off."
  • "We felt awful saying no to our children when they asked to go on the play equipment as it still isn't allowed and half taped off."

Parking

Pros:

  • "Only £1.50 to park all day."
  • "There is ample parking but small charge applies."
  • "There is a fully hard surfaced car park that costs £2 for the day."
  • "Car parking was easy enough with a few spaces free but you do have to pay."
  • "Parking was cheap, at only £2 for the entire day."
  • "Parking is £2 for the whole day and you can also pay by Ringo app."
  • "Parking was quite reasonable £1.50 all day."

Cons:

  • "Although yes, £2 for all day at the park is a good price, there is not an option for paying less for being there for less than an hour."
  • "The parking me ght get pricey ( for up to 6h costs £2 but for the day it's £12!!!)."
  • "Downside is the car park price, a minimum charge of £2.60, but lasts up to 6 hours. However not such value if its a quick visit tho."
  • "I wish you could buy a cheaper season ticket for car park as £2 to walk the dog each time is a little expensive."
  • "Parking is a flat rate, so if you're only going for half hour or so after school paying the full £1.50 gets a bit tiresome."
  • "Parking is pricey if you don't have kids and the intention to stay more than a couple hours."
  • "I resent paying the £2.00 parking charge there should be concessions for people who live in the local area."

  • "The cafe serves up lovely dishes from bacon baps to jacket potatoes."
  • "Nice scones in the cafe too."

Cons:

  • "Also café is rather expensive too."
  • "Cafe was dirty as well."
  • "Pretty poor food in the cafe, was so disappointed as it was good when we visited before."

  • "This place really smelt of dead animals."
  • "The Glow experience is very poor. For £45 family ticket you get a 20 min walk through the park and see less lights than you would walking along most streets in Xmas."

  • "Noise from motorway also a shame but pretty trees."
