Experience and Atmosphere
Pros:
"Excellent attraction and very informative with a lot to see."
"The Roman Bath are beautiful and worth a visit."
"Had a great experience, visited the museum at twelve o’clock and finished the whole experience around two hours later."
"This is a place where people of all ages can go and see, this is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, as there are lifts to all sections."
Cons:
"A bit warm and smelly underground but to be expected."
"It was a long tour but worth it!"
"You are probably best to give yourself a good couple of hours to go round, we went in later in the day and the staff were rushing us around, as they wanted to close some of the areas."
"Only down side is the talk tour is done through a large mobile phone which makes your arm ache after a while."
Admission and Accessibility
Pros:
"Student do get a discount which is really nice."
"I came in jan and it was a lot cheaper than in peak season and there was also a lot less people (obviously) so don’t let winter hold you back from exploring Bath!"
"Great place to visit and it was a lot bigger than I expected."
"You have to book it online to get in."
Cons:
"Very busy even during winter."
"It's a bit pricy at £18 each but it's a lot better than summer prices!"
"The price to the museum was around £20. You need to book in advance."
"It’s cheaper if you go on a weekday. Its very informative and interesting, but i do think the price is a big steep for what it is."
Staff and Facilities
Pros:
"Staff are friendly and helpful."
"The staff were very nice and have a lot of pride in their work."
"The museum is really well put together- a lot of research and time went into producing the exhibits and the audio guides are excellent."
"We had a lovely time at the baths when we visited Bath this weekend! Highlight for us was the extremely friendly staff, especially Jamie who was happy to chat and gave us great insights into the bath."
Cons:
"Quite a number of artifacts with an extensive audio guide. Be prepared to spend hours there for the full experience if you are really into it. We got bored after a while & it was dark so we truncated our visit."
"An amazing site, with a wealth of information, good accessibility, and good value for money. My only issue is that despite booking a timed slot, there seemed to be way too many people admitted."
"Slightly overpriced and it could do with reduced numbers per timeframe."
"A little piece of Rome right here in jolly Old England! The city is my new favorite in the UK and the Roman baths experience was very informative, educational, enriching and entertaining. I'm typically not the type to read the four text on a museum plaque, but I did look in great detail at these because it was so well done."
