Beach Quality

"An absolute gem of a beach."
"It's a clean busy beach ⛱ with no dogs allowed in season."
"Great beach, lovely and clean, easy to park."
Cons:
"One of the cleanest and tidiest beaches I've ever seen but can get really crowded at peak time."
"Unfortunately someone left their dead whale on the beach so taking one star away for that."
"Water so dirty. People don't respect public areas."
"Some pretty horrendous modern architecture mars this traditional seaside town."
"There should be someone WHO check this area and controll this people. Regały dissapointed experienced."
"Been coming to Bridlington for years but just lately really going down hill very dirty bins not empty."
"We were staying nearby and thought we’d take the dogs for a walk on the beach. Pulled up, checked Google - dogs are allowed on the beach past the lifeboat ramp and Ritchies cafe it says. Walk down the lifeboat ramp. Big sign ‘NO DOGS’."
"The fair have started to get greedy on upping the prices."
Facilities and Amenities
Pros:
"Public toilets were the same. Too early in the season, not much open, had an ice cream from the only shop open on the harbour & it was lovely."
"Best beach in the local area, tide doesnt come all the way in, always clean decent parking spots providing you get there early enough."
"Lovely sea front with amenities and shops etc very near. Great day out with the kids."
"This place is a nice destination to visit. It is very clean and tidy."
"Disabled friendly with ramps everywhere for good access."
"Really clean and enjoyable. Parking was £5.50 for all day until 18.00 regardless of what time you arrive although for that you do get access (for up to 5 people) to the Land train or Bus Park and Ride."
"South beach starts at Brid harbour, extends a mile and a half to South Cliff park and ride and then, runs South as far as the eye can see."
"The sea front has well maintained free public toilets and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants."
Cons:
"Parking as always is a nightmare, good luck with that however we did manage to get landed and walked a long way out to the incoming sea which I add moves very quickly on the turn so don't get caught out."
"It's ok, but the seafront has undergone many changes. Some good and some bad."
"A very bracing walk on the beach with our dogs. The ever changing British weather meant last weeks sunshine was now wind and drizzle!"
"Slightly difficult to find a spot to park so useful to plan ahead."
"Had to walk a fair way to reach the dog section and although the beach is lovely it could do with more facilities there."
"Really nice place for the family to visit when the weather's good, it’s a clean area, good decent shops nearby nothing too pricey all reasonable good facilities to use like the public toilets and only problem is parking."
"There is a Beautiful Promenade Area with lovely Views and plenty of lovely walks perfect for walking either with or without your Four legged Friends, with Smooth surfaces and easy Access, for those of us who need to use Wheels to Enjoy the Wonderful Views."
"You gotta love a day out to Bridlington the shops usually not that busy and you can usually find a parking space within about 5 minutes as loads you can't run out of fish and chip shops cost Around Every Connor competing to be the best."
Family and Dog Friendliness
Pros:
"Lovely as always. No matter what time of year we visit it never disappoints."
"An amazing beach with golden sands and lots to do on the massive promenade."
"Hired a beach hut for the day on Bridlington South Beach. It was awesome, and a great base to explore from."
"I’ve been to a lot of beaches in the UK and still think South Beach is one of the best."
"Great beach with plenty of shops and cafes so you can spend the day there without having to leave and go look for food."
"Love the beach at Bridlington some of arcades a rip off not many toys out at all but the gift shop was amazing lad was so funny and kids lobed him and his daughter got some cool things very cheap was happy."
"Brilliant clean beach, a few shops along the sea front for ice cream, refreshments, a restaurant and a beach gift shop."
"Great, quiet beach. We've spent there whole day."
Cons:
"It's a shame that the space for people with dogs is limited to the two extreme sides on such a huge space."
"Some areas of beach don't allow dogs during summer months."
"No dogs allowed until 30th September on the beach."
"Quieter in the morning and when the tide is out, still a lovely beach to visit even when busier with plenty of access to amenities, plenty of lifeguards to keep you safe and a nice flat beach so the water isn't suddenly deep for paddling with the kids."
"Had to walk a fair way to reach the dog section and although the beach is lovely it could do with more facilities there."
"Love the beach and I could take the dog, but only because it wasn't May to September, hence a 4 star. If you want to take a dog during this time you have to walk a lot further down!"
"Plenty of space for the dog to play (but there is a dog exclusion zone on a part of the beach between 1st May and 30th September)."
"A very bracing walk on the beach with our dogs. The ever changing British weather meant last weeks sunshine was now wind and drizzle!"
