Accommodation

Pros:

  • "We stayed in the shack…. More than enough room, great storage under the beds, and very snug at night."
  • "All accommodation was clean and set up with everything we required."
  • "The pod was clean and the double bed was comfy."

  • "The Hut was clean and tidy, came with a fitted sheet on the double bed and pillowcases."

Cons:

  • "Our cabin did leak in the heavy rain, but no one was available for us to tell."
  • "Would have been good to have sheets and pillows provided for the single beds and not just the double bed in the pod."
  • "Mud around outside of pod, could do with grovelling areas around pods to avoid this if staying open all year."

Facilities

Pros:

  • "Very clean, very well maintained."
  • "Phone charging facilities, a freezer available to use and clean toilets and showers were just perfect."
  • "Facilities are more than adequate and very clean."

  • "The showers don't require extra payment and have a temperature adjustment."
  • "The toilet/shower block were so clean and warm."

Cons:

  • "Could do with more washing up facilities, as there was only space for 2 people at a time."
  • "The only fault i could find was that the mens and ladies loos only have marking on the doors and when the doors are open you cant see what sex the bathroom is, as the door opens inwards, i accidentally walked into the ladies which was a bit awkward."
  • "Bathroom could have been cleaner with dedicated facewashing sinks available instead of needing to use the same small ones that were for the toilets."
  • "The male toilets and showers were really unclean (i had to clean the toilet seat to be able to use it)."

  • "James and Claire are very welcoming and go all out to please."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately I didn't get to see the campsite itself. I checked the internet site for opening hours... Here clearly states 8am-8pm. I called within these times only to be greeted by an unfriendly lady that complained that it was too early to call and that she was still in bed."

Location & Surroundings

Pros:

  • "Quiet and relaxing, the site has a policy of no sound systems and no noise after 10pm, which means you can really enjoy the tranquil setting."

  • "View of the Wrekin and 1 mile walk along lanes to Ironbridge town."
  • "Walking distance to Ironbridge town."
  • "Beautiful scenery whichever way you looked."

Cons:

  • "Felt like a jail camp more than a holiday. Was not aloud to play music."
  • "Although seemingly in the middle of nowhere, it is with walking distance of Ironbridge, although the road can be a bit steep and potholed, so not necessarily suitable for people with mobility problems."
  • "Some of the roads up to the site are narrow and tricky to navigate but this isn’t a negative, just something to be aware of."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately, we were situated next to some rather noisy neighbours who regularly woke and swore in front of our very young children."
  • "Our last night had people being rather loud to 2am which was a bit irritating."
  • "Would not stay here again. If they didn't want adults without children, they should state that on their website."
