Scenery and Location

Pros:

  • "I do not want to say too much, but this place is the best glamping site in UK IMO, due to the scenery it offers."
  • "The site itself it situated in a beautiful location with unbelievable views."
  • "Beautiful views of Three Cliffs and beyond with Great walks all around including the beautiful beach."
  • "The view across the bay is stunning."
  • "Lovely views across Three Cliffs Bay."
  • "The views are just stunning!"
  • "The views over the bay are absolutely stunning, especially during sunrise."

Cons:

  • "The only views were the food cabin and other tents so rather disappointing for our first time away since Covid."
  • "Beware if STAYING ON CLIFF WITH SEA VIEW... it was dangerous lots of people with damaged tents even in the camping field behind."
  • "Great location and excellent facilities…BUT be aware if you’ve booked a “sea view” pitch (at a premium) and have a motorhome with the access door on the “wrong” side (European design), you’ll be forced to turn your van to face the toilets and the rear of your van will face the beautiful view you’ve paid to see."
  • "And even if It's a bad weather. They Won't cancel. Like they just need money without providing any services."
  • "The biggest downfall is getting to the beach because it's brutal, there are two short paths."
  • "The walk down to the beach isn't for those less able on their feet however the hike back certainly burns the appetite for your next meal."
  • "Path to beach is dangerously steep unlevel (Must be many accidents) is also a very long walk."

Facilities and Amenities

Pros:

  • "The toilets are clean and modern."
  • "Facilities, extras thought through very well. Dog toy, poo bags, jute bags for shopping at on site store, biscuit and fudge products, tea, coffee, milk."
  • "Private showers with their own toilets, nice warm water dog washing area."
  • "Facilities are spotless and cleaned all day. Never had to wait for a shower."
  • "Showers and toilets are modern and very clean."
  • "The facilities are easily the best we've had on a camp site and are kept spotless."
  • "The shower / toiler block is great, loads of showers & separate toilets that are always kept clean."

Cons:

  • "The pitch was not fit for purpose."
  • "Tent field is very sloping."
  • "If we were to nit pick, quite a few of the toilet doors wouldn't close or lock and the toilet roll was missing in multiple loos."
  • "Shop has you between rock and hard place, £4.00 for jar of jam."
  • "Only thing I would say is to go equipped because the shop is quite expensive."
  • "The ground unevenness was very poor."
  • "Can't comment on amenities as they were all closed because of Covid (although we were still charged full price)."

Staff and Service

Pros:

  • "Very friendly and accommodating staff, who have a wealth of knowledge with the local and further afield areas."
  • "The staff were lovely and had lots of cuddles, they had an amazing shop full of lots of lovely goodies!!"
  • "Staff so friendly and helpful."
  • "Had a warm welcome on arrival, wardens very helpful."
  • "The staff are also extremely friendly and approachable."
  • "Staff were all amazing, helpful and generally couldn't help you enough."
  • "Staff very friendly and happy to help on site with local directions, information etc."

Cons:

  • "Tent field is very sloping. Staff are like the Gestapo, constantly walking right by our tent, with a German Shepherd dog and peering in."
  • "Very bad service."
  • "Just bear in mind this is a business… they are interested in your money. It’s not cheap and apart from the shower block there is nothing of note."
  • "Kinda surprise how they run their business by cheating with customers."
  • "Staff were grumpy, except for Tom."
  • "Again! So rude. A had purchased cake and coffee but wanted to sit about 3 feet to the side of the chairs (my dog is a barker), a kind lady offered me a chair. The guy who runs it came out and asked me to put the chair back - I would have done so happily- but he was incredibly rude in the way he asked me."
  • "Never stayed there to be honest and never would after seeing the way tom the owner behaved on four in a bed disgusting."

Accommodation and Comfort

Pros:

  • "Furnished Yurts and Bell tents are also available if you desire a bit of glamping."
  • "It has to be the best camp site I've stayed at, it's very clean and the shower facilities are the best it's like your own bathroom with plenty of space."
  • "The beach though is nice, sandy, dog friendly and not crowded even on a sunny day."
  • "A wine package, paid in advance but a cold bottle awaiting when arrived."
  • "Shop is stocked with everything you would need with the option of adding food, firewood, drinks to be ready for when you arrive."
  • "Shower block is amazing with fully tiled individual bathrooms with sensor controlled showers."
  • "The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped."

Cons:

  • "For the money I've spent this week, I would have rather got a self catering lodge or apartment on Air B&B."
  • "This place is not accessible for wheelchairs and could be a challenge for the physically impaired."
  • "If you want to spend over £500 for 3-4 nights, definitely choose something different."
  • "The walk to the beach is lovely but steep and I can imagine with kids and all the stuff that comes with them, it could be hardworking."
  • "It was also too small for larger tents."
  • "Unfortunately we were allocated a plot close to staff accommodation, backing onto the only road in and out so noisy with traffic and also without a stand pipe."
  • "They Didn't completely brief about What equipment they are providing."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Would definitely go again."
  • "We had a fantastic time again this year, third year in a row and we are booked again for next year."
  • "Easily the best campsite I've ever been to."
  • "Definitely coming back."
  • "A fabulous site, we have visited now 3 times and it never disappoints."
  • "Can't recommend this campsite enough. The views from the top of the site alone are reason enough to stay!"
  • "I will absolutely be back here again next year."

Cons:

  • "I don’t think I would return due the response from the company…. O dear, so sad, never mind!"
  • "3rd year running of coming here, and it'll be my last."
  • "Just be aware that if you have mobility issues or heart issues, getting back up from the beach is not straightforward as it is a rocky path with a steep incline."
  • "Lovely exclusive campsite with great views... The loss of a star comes from the fee, which even taking into account the views and facilities, is quite extortionately priced."
  • "Why as a business owner you would go on national television and act like a total arrogant idiot I don't know. Enough to put me off ever going anywhere near any business he runs."
  • "Be prepared to queue for the toilets, which are a good 10 minute walk, if you're at the wrong end of the site."
  • "Unfortunately there was a lack of attention to detail throughout the stay...Overall not good enough."
