Food Quality

Pros:

  • "We love the crispy pork belly with mashed potatoes and cabbage and the Haggis pie. Authentically Scottish!!"

  • "Great looking pub with good drinks, but the food is very average, hamburgers and fried onion rings are not recommended at all."
  • "The scotch egg was okay, but I wished the egg itself is the high quality orangy color, runny egg yolk. I think they overcooked the egg."
  • "However, the steak was very unpleasant. There was no sear on the meat at all and it was extremely bland and grey."
  • "The food was average and definitely not value for money."
  • "Their famous burger should not be famous. No option for how you want the beef cooked, and I could barely eat more than half."

Cons:

  • "It was like a timebomb waiting to explode & we left after one drink."
  • "We called again the following night & the place was packed to the rafters with boisterous groups & it felt quite a threatening place to be."
  • "If you’re claustrophobic you might not like it when it fills up though."
  • "One of the more pricey places in the center of town and our seating was directed directly in front of the kitchen door that was open which took away from the vibe a little bit."
  • "The atmosphere in the pub was comfortable and cozy, the entire pub is pretty small and intimate but not too loud."
