Value for Money

Pros:

  • "The tickets are valid for 1 year so it's well worth the money."
  • "Tickets allow entry over 12 months so if you're a frequent visitor to Cornwall, it's well worth the entry."
  • "Pricing was not too bad and enables you to return for 12months which is a nice bonus."
  • "Your tickets are valid for a year so you can visit as many times as you like in a year and don't have to pay."
  • "The ticket we purchased allowed us to come back the next day at no additional cost (bonus!!)."
  • "Tickets valid for a return within a year and Blue Peter badge holders get in for free."
  • "An amazing visit - went with tesco vouchers so was free for us."

Cons:

  • "For us we didn’t feel it was worth what we paid for our tickets."
  • "Finally, the price. I appreciate a ticket gets you in for an entire year, but £40 is a lot of money - especially for international visitors who are really unlikely to make use of it."
  • "Overpriced at £65 for 2 people."
  • "The entrance tickets are expensive, but we take it as a donation to this excellent educational project."
  • "It cost £88.00 for the 3 of us (2 adults + 7yr old) which felt a bit steep."
  • "Entry is not cheap! Adults were £37ea when we visited!"
  • "The £33 entrance fee feels very expensive given the tired state of the site."

Biomes Experience

Pros:

  • "The most impressive pavilion is the Rainforest. Be prepared, it is rather warm and humid there."
  • "The climate and atmosphere in the Mediterranean biome is wonderful and a joy to walk around."
  • "The Eden Project has two main dome areas which you can visit, but be prepared if your going into the tropical rainforest area make sure you have a bottled drink and wearing loose fitting clothing as it gets very hot."
  • "The domes are great, both giving you different experiences and a great view of the plant life of different regions."
  • "It is amazing to see all the biodiversity in these domes."
  • "The Tropical zone is hot and humid but there is a cool down room if you need it, but well worth feeling a bit hot for the experience."
  • "The biomes are obviously amazing. We went around the world in a day!"

Cons:

  • "The plants in the tropical biome are clearly too big now - so lots of dry leaves and not as lush and green as it was when things are smaller."
  • "But the rest of Eden needs a refreshing. Some of the ticket price needs invested back into the place to spruce things up."
  • "One massive let down was the catering on offer, bloody appalling at best."
  • "The outside gardens were a bit lackluster but it may be down to the season."
  • "Very disappointed that a private event was taking place in the Mediterranean biome meaning it closed early."
  • "The Mediterranean biome was ok but after the rainforest it felt a bit less amazing so would suggest seeing that first."
  • "The newer ‘dome’ with the invisible world exhibition was dull and lifeless…"

Accessibility

Pros:

  • "Dogs are allowed but not inside the domes."
  • "Parking is free."
  • "Plenty of places to sit for the elderly and disabled."
  • "Disabled access is good."
  • "Good for family day out. Children friendly and wheelchair accessible."
  • "They also have powerchairs and manual chairs available. There is plenty of disabled parking."
  • "The whole site is dog friendly (apart from the biomes, which are guide-dog only) and it was lovely seeing so many being walked around."

Cons:

  • "Don't expect signposts to help find Eden Project, they're far and few between."
  • "Also, there was absolutely no shade in the outside dining area, which was hard to cope with during a heatwave."
  • "very poor signage and customer service was mediocre at best."
  • "The biomes are very accessible apart from the Rainforest canopy rope bridge."
  • "Free parking. Bus service recommended as parking can be quite far away from entrance."
  • "Took about 20 minutes to get in when we were there 20 minutes before it opened."
  • "Disabled access is good - except for the invisible worlds exhibition where the needs of wheelchair users clearly haven't been taken into account."

Food and Catering

Pros:

  • "We had food in 2 cafe's and it was good but a little bit pricy."
  • "We stop for lunch (see pic's) full of flavour and some good options."
  • "The cafe in the biomes were amazing! We ordered three mains - sausage and mash, Mac and cheese and chickpea curry. All came down to £30. Very tasty and good for value."
  • "Fantastic ice cream."
  • "We ate in the Mediterranean dome and had the tastiest pizza and beer and was a great atmosphere 👌🏼."
  • "The lunch was tasty and a decent price."
  • "The food was much better than I was expecting it to be.. the soup was delicious!"

Cons:

  • "The food from the cafeteria was ok, but not the best."
  • "The catering really needs a good shake up. Prices are high."
  • "Toilets could have used a better clean and some maintenance."
  • "The food was good, although the kids are quite fussy and did feedback the food wasn’t quite to their taste so if you have fussy kids, bring a packed lunch."
  • "Food - eye wateringly expensive and everything took an absolute age, take your own would be my recommendation."
  • "A long queue for food and drinks at the cafe and very limited options which is a drawback."
  • "The hot dogs me and the kids had was the worst thing we’ve ever tasted as was my wife's curry."
