  • "The roasts we had here are really lovely."

Cons:

  • "Sloppy pizzas and basic beers."

  • "When it turned up it was incredibly bad, barely lukewarm, potatoes were tasteless and looked like they'd been reheated and the yorks puddings were rock solid."
  • "Roast potatoes are very dry, gravy very salty."
  • "The fish tasted like it had never been near the sea, the chips were simply as dry as can be."
  • "These were OK, but a little on the small side and some of the veg was undercooked."
  • "The food was very good. Pizza had too much cheese but otherwise tasty."

Cons:

  • "The man that served my friend did not smile nor say a single word."
  • "Just had what I think is one of the worst customer experiences in a pub."
  • "Good food but terrible service. After being sat down we waited 20 minutes before we had to ask a waitress if we could order."
  • "Upon complaining to the GM, Matt I think his name was. Turned very rude after I asked that the meal be taken off the bill."
  • "No you just expect 1 person to do the job of 2 or 3 people and u don't even employ people that speak basic English."

Ambience & Location

Pros:

  • "The place looks great since the refurbishment but best still is the new staff full of personality and just amazing people who made my night special."

Cons:

  • "Open late and always busy but often too much so and incredibly loud at the weekends."
  • "Some outside tables but right next to busy main road and tube station."
  • "On a Friday night from 7pm ish the music becomes so loud it is impossible to talk."
  • "Feels more like a bar than a pub, but is nicely decorated, furnished and feels very 'now', but perhaps the lighting is a bit too dark inside."

Value

Pros:

  • "The menu catered for all and the price was extremely reasonable for Christmas."
  • "Drinks are a bit on the expensive side but not ridiculously priced for London."
  • "The cocktails though are good value and well made at £8.50."
  • "The food was well priced, with good portions and excellent quality with all the guests complementing the meal choices."

Cons:

  • "Always enjoy coming here. Unfortunately with the chicken burger, the chicken was absolutely tiny and didn't fill half the bun even (2 of us got this and both the same) which was disappointing, especially for the price of it."
  • "Seemed rather pricey (almost £6 for a bottle of cider)."
  • "Last night without any warning or change to price, my roast dinner was suddenly about the 3rd of the size it has always been."
  • "I ordered the beef roast for £17 and the portions were so miserable that we had to order extra sides."
  • "Over the last year prices went up and quality of service and food went down."
