Ambiance and Location

Pros:

  • "Family friendly chic restaurant near tube station with good atmosphere."
  • "The location was beautiful, welcoming and clean."
  • "Located just outside the Canary Wharf Mall, fairly easy to spot and not crowded at all."
  • "Early Breakfast before watching the marathon. Very poor I'm afraid. The food was not hot enough, eggs were luke warm, mushrooms were cold and like rubber and the bacon was over cooked. My partner had poached egg on toast , and again the eggs were like warm. Complained, and all they gave us was free drinks, they didn't even offer to replace the meals. Will not be going back anytime soon."

Cons:

  • "Might need to get the heaters out as the cold is coming in now strong!"
  • "Small but nice bathroom with hand cream dispenser which I loved. Medium-high prices, but deserved"
  • "Nice decor but the music playing didn’t go with the theme of the room or food."
  • "Such a shame carluccios has been replaced by this very bland restaurant. A total mishmash of a menu. Very inflexible and over priced. I’m still waiting for my starter and coffee. Won’t be going back. Staff were very nonplused"

Service

Pros:

  • "Good atmosphere, friendly staff that checks in often, comfortable seating."
  • "Our waitress was very helpful in helping us with our breakfast choice."
  • "Service was mostly great, reseating us when requested due to a hard of hearing guest."
  • "Every member of the customer facing team were full of smiles, polite, friendly and engaging."

Cons:

  • "Service not good at all. Eventually got to be seated after getting stopped by the security guard."
  • "We were handed menus and then when it came to ordering, no one could be found."
  • "Waited 25 minutes for an ordered drink which had to be asked for 3 times."
  • "For an upmarket establishment, the service was slow, and the waiters dressed like there working in a sports bar with slouchy hoodies and sports tops."

Food Quality and Variety

Pros:

  • "Food was delicious, and good portions, nicely presented."
  • "General flavour: very flavoursome, great combination of ingredients."
  • "The food was of an excellent standard."
  • "Fabulous selection of food, a bit of a wait for the food, however it was an exceptionally busy day for a Friday."

Cons:

  • "Food wise: on this occasion it was very average, not very good, could have been much better."
  • "The vanilla pancakes were too thick for pancakes so after a few bites felt like eating a thick slice of bread."
  • "Was let down by service. Missing items, and difficulty flagging down staff."
  • "One of the worst experiences in London for a Brunch. It took them 45 min to serve our food, and when it came it was cold."

Price and Value

Pros:

  • "All in all, we enjoyed our breakfast, price is very reasonable, but it could be a lot better."
  • "The price was reasonable for the food and location."
  • "Had a great meal here. I had the filter coffee, a cheese pizza and some croquettes. Pretty good value overall."
  • "I ordered baked eggs with red harissa sauce and flatbread. It was very good. Improvement area is it was burned little bit on top, and they didn’t use enough spices to elevate the taste. Other than that high quality ingredients made a difference."

Cons:

  • "Though we found food prices a bit steep so suitable for an occasional hang out instead of an usual day out."
  • "Definitely on the pricier side but it’s Canary Wharf at the end of the day!"
  • "Food was nice and reasonable value for Canary Wharf. Was let down by service."
  • "It is always hard to justify 15£ for a breakfast item, but this place executed the item so well so it worths it."
