  • "Very friendly staff and nice play areas for younger children."
  • "Staff in the zoo and shop were really friendly and welcoming."
  • "Staff were really friendly, even lending brolleys to people in our party because of the rain when walking to the zoo."
  • "The staff are so lovely and informative, and the animals all look really happy, healthy and well cared for!"
  • "Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and had time to answer any questions."

Cons:

  • "Sadly a 'tired' visitor attraction."
  • "Some parts did seem a little run down and uncared for."
  • "The down side was the cafe. we were met with what I can only describe as a miserable girl that looked as though she had been sulking."
  • "There was a lack of staff but the gift shop looked OK."
  • "The staff looked cheesed off but polite."
  • "Staff sit on their tellys and not minding the basics of maintaining a decent paid destination."
  • "The reception staff member was barely interested enough to take my money and gave us zero information."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Your ticket is valid for 6 days after your visit for you to return as many times as you want without paying again. Bargain."
  • "It’s worth noting that the ticket you get on entry allows as many visits as you like for 7 days so you can revisit if you want to."
  • "A family ticket is valid for up to a week after first admission, so make sure you visit again!"
  • "The entry ticket price lasts for a whole week, so if you are in the vicinity, you can go more than once."
  • "Reasonably priced and you can return for free in the following 7 days if you wish which is a bonus."
  • "The ticket also allows free unlimited entry for a week after and costs less than £10 per person so definitely great value."
  • "Once you've paid to get in you can return as many times as you like over the next 6 days, so excellent value for money."

Cons:

  • "You would not pay the entrance fee if you knew how poor it was."
  • "Not only that the cups were all stained and dirty, tables built up and cluttered with dirty crockery and left o er food, expensive food and drink."
  • "The cafe is extremely expensive - jacket potato £9!"
  • "For adults it's quite expensive for what it is."
  • "Given the steep entrance fee I'd expect the crazy golf and other 'attractions' to be free."
  • "It's very overpriced at £19 for 2 adults and 20 month old child."
  • "Very overpriced..£35 for a family ticket which took all of 15 minutes to go around the whole aquarium."

Facilities and Accessibility

Pros:

  • "There was a crazy golf course on site, at a cost and a free bouncy castle."
  • "Very educational and excellent for entertaining small children."
  • "Good cafe & great gift shop, there’s other activities on site like mini golf too."
  • "Great day out, we went on a day when the weather was bad and it seemed like the rest of Wales had decided to do the same to get out of the rain."
  • "Had a really nice visit, learnt more about what's in our local seas."
  • "A pleasant surprise was the EV chargers and discount for entry if you have an EV."
  • "This is a great family day out between the inside walkthrough and the outside activities, you can easily entertain the kids for the day."

Cons:

  • "Although the website says it is wheelchair accessible, this is not entirely true."
  • "Rides not working either."
  • "Not perfect for wheelchair uses as the floors are quite uneven in areas and the walk thru can be quite narrow."
  • "Some tight dark areas for wheelchairs.and buggys."
  • "Disabled parking was limited and in my opinion in the wrong place, the spaces right outside the building were designated for electric cars not disabled cars."
  • "It was impossible to read some of the information. The play area was also in very poor condition, dangerous in places."
  • "Only downsides were having to wait over half hour in the rain with no shelter and cars coming and going very, very close to us to enter the zoo despite arriving just after 10am and nowhere to sit outside to eat that was sheltered."
