Beer Selection

Pros:

  • "However, combine some 5/5 beers, a 5/5 atmosphere and 4/5 food to a 5/5 price and you get a 5/5!"
  • "There was a huge choice of their own beers on offer."
  • "The beers are as fresh as your going to get, I’d recommend the Bellini, pale ale and Italian pilsner beverages."
  • "The beers are all excellent, making it very difficult to decide."
  • "They have taps of all their standard beers with very reasonable prices."
  • "The beers taste great and there is quite a good range of different tastes that you can appreciate."
  • "Their beers are fresh and crisp and for the area reasonably priced."

Cons:

  • "Almost all lager or pale ale/IPA styles - not a single dark beer across c. 20 taps."
  • "Not a fan of their standard lager myself."
  • "The five taster beers are a good idea, but sadly none were to my taste, nor to my friends tastes who were with me."
  • "As expected we were offered a pint on the house but only one specific beer was included in our ticket."
  • "Selection was limited - maybe 6 offerings and not all were theirs...or even beer!"
  • "Beer was delicious but selection was limited - impressive number of taps."
  • "Camden do not brew non-alcoholic beer."

Tour Experience

Pros:

  • "Jes was a great tour guide, really insightful and full of knowledge on the history and the brewing process of the variety of products that the Camden brewery brews."
  • "The tour starts with a brief and interesting story about the brand, followed by tasting session where you try different kind of beers."
  • "Really enjoyed our experience here! Great beers and brewery tour - well worth the money!!"
  • "The Brewary Tour was fantastic. The two gentlemen who talked us through the beer tasting and the brewary tour were very helpful, experienced and knowledgeable."
  • "Such an amazing tour. Mike was very knowledgeable and charismatic and made the tour very interesting."
  • "Great tour experience. Started off with a beer tasting and then moved into the arches for the tour."
  • "The tour was very informative and it was interesting to hear how such basic ingredients turn into a fine beer."

Cons:

  • "Disappointing brewery tour and poor service."
  • "The tour was quite expensive at £25 per person, and I really don't feel like we got our money's worth."
  • "Camden brewery got really nice beers. But the tours are not that good. You can't hear the guide when he presents in the bar hall."
  • "The tour is not worth £25 and if you have been to the Heineken or Guinness tour prepare for disappointment."
  • "It's extremely noisy inside the beer hall."
  • "When the tour finished at 8:45pm, we were informed that the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order any food."
  • "The tour itself was okay, but nothing special."

Service

Pros:

  • "Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great selection of beer and lager, with a nice, colourful and bright environment."
  • "The staff have a good grip on all the different kinds of beer."
  • "The staff very helpful and friendly."

  • "The staff were thoroughly enjoyable to be around and made it a great experience for me and my friends."
  • "Staff super friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back."
  • "Staff were all efficient and very friendly."

Cons:

  • "The food and beer were great, but the service was amongst the worst I have ever seen."
  • "Both times the staff were pretty rude."
  • "Service was terrible. The bar wasn't that busy but the staff were more interested in cleaning glasses and really slow service no urgency from any of the staff to serve people."
  • "We also had to ask for the bill 4 times prior to paying which again took longer than it should."
  • "Appalling customer service on last visit."
  • "Be careful though, table service invokes a charge and they charge an additional 75p, they come up to you and ask if you would like another drink without telling you it's an additional charge."
  • "The biggest problem I've had with this place was that the service was incredibly slow, about 20 minutes from ordering a pint and actually receiving it."

Food

Pros:

  • "Pizza's great too."
  • "Also the food is amazing."
  • "The Fries and Padron peppers were an excellent accompaniment to the beers!"
  • "They have a rotation of different food stalls - when we were there there was choices between bratwurst, pulled meats, burgers, pizza and donuts - all cooked freshly in front of you."
  • "The food is more than just pizza. The beer is really good with fine selection."
  • "We also had some food and everything was delicious."
  • "Food was delicious. And so was the beer."

Cons:

  • "Food is a bit overpriced for what you get."
  • "No gluten free options, so had a bottled cider which was awful."
  • "3.50 for old chips... I was so upset."
  • "Food could have got to us a lot hotter than it did."
  • "Food menu split between pretzels, focaccia and pasta - a little strange but it will do. No schnitzels and no chips after a few beers have really let the team down tho tbh."
  • "No chips, no snacks apart from olives and singular large pretzels."
  • "Prices are pathetic.... charged me 6.50 for 4 spicy chicken wings with not meet.... chef is arrogant..."

Ambience and Location

Pros:

  • "Wonderful outdoor space which is great for bringing your own take away to go with your pints!"
  • "The place has a good, chill vibe."
  • "The brewery itself has been recently refurbished so there's plenty of space."

  • "Love this place. Nicely hidden from the roads, friendly staff, fairly priced and nice atmosphere."
  • "It’s a small cosy brewery with a brilliant outdoor area with lights outside and a real part atmosphere."

Cons:

  • "Cool brewery space, though not very accessible, as it's just far enough off the city center to be too long a walk and forever via transit."
  • "Personally though it feels like a staff canteen/concrete park when it come to the seating that's available."
  • "It seems people rarely leave this bar without a sway to their walk, which is probably due to how damn good the beer is here."
  • "The atmosphere is pretty chilled out and there isn't any music - just people enjoying a good drink."
  • "It feels a little bit like an alpine drinking hut."
  • "The interior the taproom is perhaps a victim of its own success - visit on a Friday after work to find the indoor space is rammed and the queues to the bar long."
  • "The beer hall itself is good but has a school hall vibe."
