Campsite Quality

Pros:

• "The showers blocks are easy accessible open 24/7... Toilet block, showers & kitchen area immaculate at all times."

Cons:

• "Toilets and showers were not cleaned to our satisfaction."
• "The manager on this site has changed from last time we went. This new one this time is aggressive and swears and moans about the cleaning he needs to do."
• "Tent pitches close together, not owners fault but young kids still running site after 11pm at night."
• "The toilets were quite dirty, the floor was covered in dirt, there was rubbish on the floor including a large clump of hair from a hairbrush, and a pair of pants!"
• "Pitch black at night, definitely need some lighting to the toilet/shower block."
• "The showers could do with a shelf & extra hooks not very good if you're disabled."
• "The showers have no temperature adjustments it’s just a push button for hot water."

Management and Staff

Pros:

• "When we arive we had a 20 min Conversation with the owner, he was poliate and made us laugh, whilst we were there he made sure we were okay and if we needed anything."
• "Same as every year beautiful campsite down to earth owner/owners."
• "The openness of the site, seeing the owner going out of his way to come chat to each pitch every evening to make sure they are okay."
• "The owner of the park was super friendly and helpful."
• "Owner is spot on was on his own when we come doing everything and still made sure he dealt with us e.c.t he's brill 😀."

Cons:

• "There's no point in displaying rules and then not enforcing them."
• "People were playing musing that could be heard all over the site rather than just loud enough so they could hear it."
• "The site was quite noisy at night (Probably due the fact it was bank holiday weekend) up to the 11pm deadline which is not great when you have young children trying to sleep."
• "The full service is not full service, no office to check in i out."
• "Only two showers for men to go round the whole site."
• "There was nobody doing a walk-round at 11pm to check this."
• "No security at all on site, cars and people could come and go as they liked."

Value for Money

Pros:

• "The area is so lovely and peaceful! We were lucky enough to go in September when it is quieter and it only cost £12/night 😁."

• "Just a very basic site and not worth the 9.4 rating."
• "The hole site was nothing like the photos so was very disappointed when arrived, alot smaller then what you see."
• "Our only complaint is the booking system wasn’t clear. We booked adults only and assumed that is what it was and paid more."
• "A young lass came to what we thought was welcome us to the site only to be asked for £12 more for our stay on top of the £42 already paid online."
• "The photos show it bigger then it is... when we booked it says you could walk into skegg 2.5miles I don't think so the road is not safe no pavements."
• "We were crammed into a tiny gap and there was hardly any room to park our car and the guide ropes of our tent we’re almost under the wheels of the cars either side of the tent."
